The X-ray M machine, wish I could afford the real deal.
So, as mentioned earlier in the week, I have been building on some M chassis and this is a combination of the S-MX chassis I had, loose spare parts and a body by HPI that I just HAD TO HAVE when I saw it. I am sure glad I bought it when I did as I would have been crushed if I couldn't get my hands on one before I finished working on the chassis. That has happened to me in the past since I take so dad gum long to finish things.
This build was pretty straight forward stock, it doesn't have too much in the way of hop ups as 1) they are not too easy to source for the original M chassis cars and 2)I really wanted to put a BUG on the M-02L chassis, but lacked the 'L' parts to make the chassis longer. I might have a line on another old M chassis for that build thanks to some members here and I will see what my allowance will let me pick up as I know most of you won't believe this, but I have had most of what you are looking at in the M department from all these builds this week IN MY POSSESSION for nearly 5 years. I just didn't get them all out and start building. Even with having a lot of M bits, I am still finding bits and pieces and screws and body mounts and irritating other little pieces missing for a complete build up of the M03 chassis I want to do. Oh well, that is the way it always seems to go for me when I buy a project from eBay, I pull it out of the shipping box and look over that most of what was shown in the auction was there and then I file it in the TO DO pile. This year I have had more ability and some extra time to put some models together, but I am also pretty motivated to clear out all extras I have, so that could be a big reason you see me building more stuff. I have somehow stayed away from buying kits this year as well as opening kits and building them too!!! I don't know WHAT is wrong with me. :P
Enjoy the pics, might see a couple copied over from the Mini post, but I hope to replace those with some PAINTED and decalled shots of this when I get the nerve to shoot some paint on this thing.
