When released in 1983, a mate and I wore out a good pair of sneakers walking between Hobbyco on George St looking at the Frog to smaller hobby shop on Pitt St looking at the Hunter in Sydney Australia. Always wanted both but got a Grasshopper. The Grasshopper was a good car but the camber on the Hunter's rear and those massive spikes placed it on my 'had to have' list. I bought this from Tamiya club member here in Australia. I've spent a lot of time sealing the gearbox to make this buggy a light runner. I changed the rear shock. The old shock has too much friction and causes the weaker Marui plastic to fail. I added a modified Team Associated T4 RTR blue shock running 10 WT oil and a custom piston. Got a youtube video of this classic coming real soon.

I had the Galaxy as a kid and now have a hunter to restore. Despite the poor gearing design I had a blast with mine. Yours is looking great, can't wait to see the video!
