Not many of these around now as parts for the OPS engine fitted to it are hard to come by.
Tamiya released this kit 44004 to celebrate the opening of the Kakegawa racing circuit in Japan in 1996. The kit comes with a certificate in black and gold.
This TGX (44004) was the first and only car that Tamiya fitted the OPS VR-15S.FV engine to. The engine has a fan behind the recoil that allows cold air up to the heatsink head. At this time most of the TGX had OPS engines fitted but then the FS-15LT took over, probably due to cost.
This one came from Japan and has been restored back to original condition. The only hop ups are the heatsink head and lightweight flywheel, it has treaded tyres not slicks.

That looks great, I think I might have some of those tires here for fitting on a project.
