Had a hummer ages ago but that got sold. This came in with another job lot of bits I bought, it was filthy and in bits but cleaned up well. It was missing the aerial and battery keeper but I had an aerial and used a resin battery keeper for a bit. Now fully ballraced and complete.
I'm sure you didn't know it, but now you are helping me sell one I have had here. I was going to get it all running and nice and perhaps keep it for myself, but another member has forced my hand and said that 3 Hummers would be too many, so he will get one of them.
This is really a nice looking example and has some great looking camo patterns and just enough dirt and such to be a real good looker. Needs a little more dirt/mud on them tires.
I was staring at this(AGAIN) and began to wonder, you don't suppose the body is from an XB?? The paint is done in a manner that one color isn't any thicker than the next, like a perfect spray and masking job??
I was thinking that myself, the chassis is definitely the kit, oil filled shocks and the normal chassis etc but like you say, the body looks like a factory spray job although there is a bit of overspray inside. Maybe it was a replacement body somehow? Could you buy an xb bodyshell only? Very mysterious, all I know is I love it, just need to get it a bit more muddy
Most of the times I have seen the XB series of bodies for sale, they are by a kit 'breaker' where they wanted things like the radio etc, but I suppose in Japan, there is a part number for everything, so anything is possible. I am with you on the chassis being kit material as it doesn't have the odd shaped chassis with the 'dust' covers and such.
NOW GO GET SOME MUD ON THIS, that is an order.
