So I got this kit 'way back when' and put a used Holiday Buggy 2010 shell on it. I'd posted in the forums when I did it but I wasn't a subscriber on the main site so I couldn't add it to my showroom until now. I'd put quite a lot of work into it, fabrication and modification wise, which was really unusual for me. I usually just buy parts and fit them on instead of actually 'make' something. Anyways, since I'm now turning it into something else, I thought I'd add it to my showroom for posterity. Funny thing is that even though I'd built it with all the electronics I never actually got around to running it, not even for a shake down test drive.

As it was in the beginning... Loved almost everything except the stance. IFS'd the front dampers. Filled the holes. Made my own dust cover out of styrene sheet. Added mud flaps and a rear bumper. Painting PE plastic is a pain. But everything looked (mostly) ok in the end. I'm particularly pround of my cover. End of part 1.0!

Good looking car, great decal on that dust cover. I'd be very interested in knowing how did you covered the bonnet holes. It would be awesome if you'd feel like sharing the secret to such sweet job.

@mongoose1983 I cut out some Styrene sheet after making a template out of cardboard. The hard part was making it adhere to the polyethylene shell. PE doesn't like glues, paints, weather... or me it seems. In the end it's held in place with a combination of Plastex, EMA Plastic Weld, Tamiya White Putty, and the Plastikote paint I used.
@neobrunox Thanks. I was kinda proud of myself about it when I did it and got it working smoothly. Now I just need to get myself a set of white CVA shocks before they disappear. They're starting to get a bit scarce on eBay.

No probs. Someone else, although I can't remember who, had a much easier idea of using wire mesh instead of filling the holes. It looks quite good imo, kinda like air vents on the hood of a car.
