Original Team CRP Scorpion Racers.
These were once owned by Team CRP Founder Mike Tobey.
The #6 buggy was raced at the 1st ROAR Offroad Nationals held in New Jersey in 1984.
Both have period racing mods and prototype parts.
Tamikazi: He was the Mayor of Vineland New Jersey where the track is.
Kyosho Collector:
Tried to buy them when they 1st showed up on ebay, came in 2nd.
That one hurt, really wanted them.
The buyer decided to sell them almost a year later.
I actually got together all the correct parts to build replicas, right down to having Andy Jacobson paint them, he painted them originally. He remembered the buggies from all those years ago.
Talked to a Team CRP factory racer, he also remembers the #6 buggy. He said they would display it at the trade shows back then. Can't describe how happy I was to be able to get them.

Mike, you sure are a lucky guy, patience is a virtue in this case. Great story, hope you get some more stories to go with em and enjoy them a ton.
