Last time I bought a Tamiya car was about 7 years ago, and this is the best way to party my back - to - back into Tamiya world. Thanks to TC member Challenger-RT who sold me this beauty, and built it to very high specs. Details are simply stunning.

P.S.: tips about torsion bars setting? Car will stay obviously on the shelf, so I was thinking about a 'hard' setup in order to make the car stay at the right height, or maybe it's better to soften them? I'm scary about breaking plastic bars, they seem very fragile.

stick the chassis on something to lift the car up and let the wheels droop, that way you don't have to worry about the torsion bars or flat spots on the tyres.

Will do, thank you!

Looks GREAT !!!! I use old Tamiya spray can lids under my cars to keep them elevated off the shelf...2 per car usually does the trick !!

Call me ignorant, but I have only seen ONE of these in person and that was to ship it off to Dan who wanted it badly. I think I would do this, figure out how to unload the torsion bars completely, no spring tension at all and then prop the car on a stand like already said and that way there might not be any damage what-so-ever to those fragile little pieces. Heck if you can remove them altogether from the display, I would do it so they don't stand a chance of cracking later. If you want to know where my over protectiveness comes from, well it has something to do with cracked F parts on my Hot Shot shelfer that never turned a wheel, that was WAYYYY back when re re parts were not seen and they are still hard to come by with the proper moldings intact, so lesson learned.

I've done EXACTLY like this. I've unloaded front torsion bars (rear ones were still very soft) and then I've lifted the car. This will save tires too from flat points. I'm waiting for a NIB bodyset too, why not to try a different paint scheme? Call me crazy but I'd love to run one of these little things, maybe without side mirrors and other small and fragile parts.

This looks excellent! Very nice! I had one a few years ago and ran it with torsion bars! But just in my front room!!lol but it was fun!

Very realistic suspension movement over my rugs!

Sounds like a great plan and can't wait to see what alternate paint you apply.
