I finally got myself a Marui Big Bear
I am excited to say that I finally got myself a Marui Big Bear, I had one back in the 80s but it was bought for me second hand by my dad so back then I wasn't sure what make it was, I just knew it was a Big Bear and it was fun to drive.
I have wanted one for ages but they always sell so expensive but I saw one on ebay this week and did a best offer and the person accepted :)
Considering its age its in really good condition, it even came with its original batteries in it!
I am now 50/50 to either restore this or get it up and running with new electronics etc.
The driver is in pieces but is still in there.
One thing that surprised me it how small the truck is as I remember it been much bigger but I actually think its the Wagon Wheel effect where it seemed bigger as I was so much smaller back then!

Wow, that is pretty cool just like that, patina and all. I sure hope those batteries didn't ruin anything and I think I would leave it in this condition and modernize the electrics a bit and enjoy driving it.

Thanks guys, I am loving the batteries as well. I havent got the heart to throw them away! I do want to drive it so am looking forwards to that day.

Great trucks - yours looks very tidy - good colour scheme too. I've got a tidy Big Bear too , I might respray it one day but the vintage electrics are going to stay .

Thanks guys, I think it looks good in red my original one was blue. So by standard rules this one should be faster as its red

Sweet grizzly you got there! I am the same, a kid I kicked around with up the hill had one when I was a kid and I remember them being much bigger too haha. Suprisingly they are a good runner even with the quite stiff pogo stick suspension!

Even if not usual i like the paint scheme, i'd keep it like this as a runner.
