Tamiyaclub Community Fusion
This is my entry for the Fusion Competition.
This is the backup version of our Community Scorcher which was made up of parts donated and built by many TC members of the time. The original one of these was sent to Japan and presented as a gift from Tamiyaclub members to Tamiya HQ. This one was the standby model just in case the first one didn't come out well during the bodywork stage. There was only 2 weeks to modify and finish paint this body, so we needed a reserve which you see here in this picture.
The chassis is a 100% replica of the of the car that was sent to Japan.
Tamiyaclub Fusion at its best and we should all be proud of what our club achieved with the original model.
Cheers Rad.

Thank you to everyone for your comments, very much appreciated. I have been away for a while restoring motocross bikes and riding. I am never far away and look on TC most days at what is going on. I am still into my RC cars, but don't have the time for any special builds yet. Good luck to everyone entering the Fusion Competition. Cheers Rad

Thanks Steve, You played a major part in getting the original model made in time for its flight out to Tamiya HQ in Japan. I still think what we all did as a club was something special. Pretty amazing what we all did back then. Really please you finally got to see this car in the flesh when you were on your UK trip.

A tamiya club legend. This collaboration is legendary for sure. Sorry don't know why my first comment came out blank. Guess I blanked it out. Thanks for sharing.
