Well I think I really need to cancel my eBay account. I have bought yet another 4WD buggy while surfing idley. This time it is the recent Tamiya release of the Baja King. Nothing but a Baja Champ with a different shell really. For whatever reason these TL01B buggys are kinda growing on me. I just hope the growth is not fungus! Anyhow, this is standard TL01 all the way. The same 3 pinion choices, the same gear train, chassis tub and other bits with the only real difference from a touring car being the long arms/axle shafts and the dampers. It does not feel too awful heavy and will hopefully make a decent beater buggy. I'll find out sometime soon. ;)

Well after running this some I have decided it is just awful as an off roader. It's too heavy, poor pinion choices not allowing for better gearing and it's generally poor handling make this unpleasant to run IMHO. May be just fine for a newbie to RC though as it is simple to assemble and fairly strong.
