I am a Hot Trick nut, and am building this so my other Sprint car does not get lonely.

This is actually hand made out of piano wire; as opposed to something that is factory made, it has some noticeable flaws, but I think it is great!

When it was made, the 'maker' did not take precise measurements for bolt hole locations and such, so some slight modifications were made.

I also tried my hand at brazing for the first time, and it was an awful pain in the butt. I finally got it to work like it was supposed to, and when it cooled, the parts that I brazed somehow became misaligned or bent slightly, so I busted out my grinder and started over.

What I ended up doing, instead of brazing, was using some good ole JB cold weld. The parts I used cold weld on were the shock mounts. I put a bar horizontally across the cage assembly, in the front and in the back. I started by tacking them into position with some super glue. From there, I took my special pliers which pigtail wire, and pigtailed a small piece on each of the 4 points where the shock mount touched the cage. From there, I smothered the joint in cold weld, and use a dremel to clean up. The wire almost acts as re-bar.

I hacked up a Hot Trick Spint car chassis for the bottom of the car, and used Hot Trick front and rear arms.

Steering linkage is Hot Trick also, with Tecnacraft turnbuckles.

On the back end is a Litesink motor plate.

The rear shock mount is a home made, machined aluminum piece.

The shocks have stock RC10 guts and caps, with new MIP black annodized bodies and the rears have a new set of Parma blue annodized top and bottom retainers.

I still have a ways to go on this, but it is a blast working on. I would like to find some nice aluminum wheels, but I do not know if anybody makes or ever made some fat rear wheels for the tires that you see commonly on Sprint cars.
