Stadium Gator - ready to go!
My converted Desert Gator stadium truck is finally finished. Not that it was a difficult job - I'm just really slow at getting round to finishing projects off, and it ran just fine with the original Gator shell on. Conversion was easy - swop the front uprights for King Blackfoot ones - a set of Stadium Blitzer Wheels and suitable tyres - the rear body mount is the original Gator one just turned round to face backwards - the front bodymounts came from a 50482 body mount set and screwed directly into unused holes on the suspension mount. Bodyshell is a Proline Crowd Pleazer for a Traxxas Rustler - model shop sent me the wrong one though and I got a Nitro Rustler shell with a bulge to fit the exhaust rather than a electric Rustler shell, I decided to use it rather than mess about swopping it. I'm pleased with the outcome, and I've got myself the 2WD Stadium Truck I was after despite Tamiya not selling one at the moment.

Nice looking conversion, very tidy job. Nice body too!
Just wondering how ur Stadium Gator is going? Im thinking of doing something simlar very soon.
Stadium Gator is going great - it's a lot of fun and was an easy conversion to a truck. Probably my most used RC car since I built it. So go for it and do something similar.
Yea was thinking some nice 2.2s and possible a jato crowd pleaser but im not to sure if itll fit. Any advice. Really do like the chassis on the gator. Might need a little beefing up though.

Funny you mention that - This Gator is currently wearing a set of HPI Geolander tyres on gold HPI Super Star wheels - don't even need to change the uprights for longer ones with the Super Star wheels I found.
I was thinking some hpi split 5 truck rims with bow ties and possible either a jato or xxx-t crowd pleaser shell, think the bigger wheels will let me bash it around a bit more too.
