Full Metal Kermit!!!!
I met up with Moosey, Volksrod, PurpleBugsy and Zakspeed this weekend for some SRB beach action. Despite the cold and wet weather it was well worth it because we had an incredible time (Cheers lads). I rebuilt my runner Scorcher for the occasion and here you see what i came up with. The wheel arches have been replaced with hand made aluminium ones, the gutters have been removed, running boards removed etc to create a smooth lightweight racer look. The front guard is also custom made and seems to protect the nose cone really well. The chassis is a superb Twinset special and the rear cage/rollbar in alloy from Shodog. I thought the name was appropriate because i've never seen an SRB with more alloy on it!!! Anyway i hope you like the pics, please feel free to leave comments as usual, oh and a massive thanks to you Mark for helping with the pics after my camera died!
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Thanks for the comments guys. Jim the window netting is Hotshot/Supershot. If you look closely there's a cutout so the driver can make hand signals

Nice one fella! It's a real shame you aren't very good at painting and photographing these cars. Otherwise, your showroom might really fill out well. Canine's crotch there amigo!

Looks fantastic, I see that Volksrod has created his own 'school', shall we call it UK SS style?
zakspeed

Awesome. Great details and I love the paint, the yellow line is a very nice touch (I might have to borrow that idea if you don't mind?). The front guard is the best I ahve seen, it is great the way it fits so close and looks very scale with the holes as details.
moosey
I think were gona have to do a Miss Piggy SS mate, Use Josh's SS nose cones with no lights as a nose & Use Brat Attacks for the pink side of things. But then again.... Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goldnest
Those shocks really make the difference! What brand are they? Kyosho by any chance?
rad22rad Alloys
Steve, you told me about this car and now i have seen it all i can say is ' SUPERB ' well done mate, and great to meet you today at the Reading Bash
Stevo309
Yes the shocks are vintage Kyosho, left over from my racing days, i think they were fitted on the Optima Mid Custom Special and Lazer ZX-R etc?
Petrolhead
Stunning Bug, and love the 1st and last shots!
Crash Cramer
Steve, not to nit pik, but that rear end is just BEGGING for a stinger pipe. When are you gonna get one??

I am a bit new to this so take or leave what I have to say 'cos it ain't just about how it looks.
This has gone straight to my fa'v list and I will take inspiration. I made the few models I have done to run and have a good time, have fun and enjoy.. seems to me you accomplished all the above and in the process made somthing unique, individual and really REALLY nice looking. That to me is what it's all about.... loved this one. Nuff said...
