Santa very kindly bought me this for Chrimbo, an 'F103GT Advance Courage LC70 Mugen' - bit of a mouthful, I know.
Anyway, I started the build at about 12 and finished it up at about 4. Build went fine, and I love some of the bits of engineering used on the chassis. One of which being the rear shock/ t-bar. If you tighten up the screw that holds it down, you get more oversteer, loosen it and you get more understeer - no spring or shock changes needed, how good is that! I also like the ball diff, and to change how much you want it to lock up/be open you take one of the rear wheels off and tighten the bolt that's behind it. Simple, yet so effective.

I love the body too. And thank goodness it's pre-finished, I wouldn't fancy painting that up, let alone stickering it!

Also, the chassis is light. Once fully built, with a motor and all radio gear in I weighed it - about 940 grams. Then I weighed my TA-04 with no radio gear or motor in - just the chassis, and it weighed 960 grams! So I thought I'd try it out with the standard motor in to see how it goes. Well, it's not too bad, and it certainly the fastest car I've had with a silvercan in. This is obviously down to the weight, and the transmission losses of power are obviously cut to a minium. But, it wasn't good enough for me. I've stuck a 17t in there, but have yet to run it :D

When I did run it, allbeit briefly, with the silvercan, the handling I found pretty good. From a stand still, give it full beans and it would squirm a bit but wouldn't fishtail much. However, give it power round a bend and 'wooaah, I'm in a spin'. I think the best way to describe it is snappy. If you do get it sideways and manage to correct it then it has a tendancy to go round the other way. But, this was only my first brief run, so with time and practice I should be able to keep it on the reigns!

Thanks for the kind comments! Unfortunately the depth-of-field in these pics was a bit too small, but it's no big deal.
