Marui Galaxy - red rollcage
This is one of my only 2 original cars that survived from back in the day. I still adore the look of the Galaxy, especially the one with red rollcage. I restored it to descent condition and its purpose is to sit on the shelf now. I know the Galaxy's arent very common around here, but for me it's a personal favourite.
UPDATE: It now has the original Marui 360RS motor.

Now that is gorgeous!! White lettering has finished it off nicely

Great looking car alright. I have the blue piped frame version (Galaxy RS), one NIB and one as a runner. Weird that the red framed 1 wasn't called the RS, as its the elite of the two.

I think it's just because the red one came earlier so they had to choose a different name for the blue (budget) version.

Very nice buggy, the red roll cage gives it a tough look. If theres lettering on the tyres then it has to be taken advantage of and painted white. Nice buggy and nice work!

...sweet! ...didn't know it existed but can totally understand why it's one of your favourites!
I have this Exact Buggy in a box in the basement. It was my pride and joy back in the day. Still has the original motor in it.
Thanks for sharing the pic !

I'm very fond of the models that Tokyo Marui released back in the 1980s and although extremely unlikely would love to see them re released. I thought that their scrapped Mitsubishi Pajero was very nice. They had great box art too.

Its funny how Tamiya didn't release any 'cage body' type models back in the day (well not to my knowledge) when several other manufacturers did - Kyosho, Marui, AYK, Hirobi, Mugen, Thunder Tiger etc.
