Well, I've been wanting to get a couple of decent runners sorted out that's I'll use, and thin out the rest of my collection. This is the first step in that notion.

My old Purple Dagger was one of my best ever runners, I loved the capabilities of it, its go anywhere ability and speed, so, almost naturally I wanted to get another truck of the same chassis.

I did a trade with bfst24 off the forums for my Chrome Pumpkin for his Dual Hunter. Great guy, came all the way over to me to do the trade. I'm very pleased with it, it came brand new with a few hop ups such as 4' shocks and towers, full bearings, twin 600 motors and a Twin Motor, Twin Battery Ho Bao ESC.

Turns out the ESC needs 14.4V for it to run, so I charged up two GP3300 batts, slotted one into the chassis and cable-tied the other on top of it, turned it on and went out to play.

Good lord, it flies. With two batts and twin 600 motors, it's got ooodles of torque and will pull wheelies from a stop. Accelerates to its (very high) top speed quite fast, so could do with a couple of larger pinions. It ran for about twice as long as a single batt one would, which was great. These trucks, they still do the rough stuff like I remember ;)

I'm very pleased with it. I might be persuaded to swap the ESC for a Speedmaster SilverStar, if anyone's interested?

Expect to see some action pics of it getting muddy sometime soon.

Nice pic, Dad!

The bodies on these models do nothing for me, but those wheels sure look mean.

Butt ugly! My WD is brutally tough. I run the same shock towers and this sorts out the handling 100%. What shocks are you running there? Are they T-max's?

Thanks for the comments. I agree, it's not the best looking body in the world by any stretch of the imagination, but the deal was right. The shocks are Traxxas T/E-Maxx ones.

Great looking truck Allie, a pure Jumping Machine for sure! I look forward to seeing it at the next Reading Bash.
