Dark Impact with a twist.
This is my son's Dark impact, when i got my Avante Mk11 he liked the body shell and wanted one himself, we managed to find the wheels and decal sheet but never found the body shell. So i decieded to use an original avante shell i had laying around, cutting it about a bit to make it fit, he wanted it metalic blue like the original, just finished putting decals on. Took some photos of it side by side with the mk11 and we think it looks better than tamiyas version, what do you guys think?

That looks way better than the Avante mk2. Your a brave man for cutting an original Avante body shell!!

Wow!! Makes you wonder if Tamiya tried this. It does look much better with old top on new car than the new MkII. I wouldn't be worried about cutting the original, it looks like it was made to fit.

Nice looking. Same idea as mine. Looks like my Avante/Dark Impact is not alone anymore. Cheers
