After a couple of redesigns of the wiring layout, I managed to simplify it enough to complete 80% of the wiring with just the led leads, leaving just the power feeds & one jumper each to make it all work.
The leds will be fed from a constant current source, this means no series resistors are necessary.Drive current will probably be set at about 25-30mA to give good brightness, the photos below were at 20mA & while they look pretty good, I feel they need just a little more ''OOMPH''.
The leds are standard 2mm x 5mm yellow & wired in parallel. I know parallel wiring is never recommended, but as these leds are pretty well matched there is no discernable variation in brightness between them.
Just a few quick photos to give you an idea of how it looks.
