| description | This has been a project that has taken almost a year to complete. I finally have it finished. I owe it all to the builder, Forrest Scott of Bruiser Builder.com for the build. I bought a new half built mountaineer off ebay and then sent it to bruiser builder. for chrome and paint. The entire chassis was chrome plated and fully ball raced, even the tranny. It was then put together using cap head titanium fasteners. The body was painted box art and the details were then added. The details are amazing from the emblems all the way to the tailgate latches. They were done with several different unknown techniques to give depth and a shadow look to add to the realism. Even the grill was chrome plated and then painted to make sure the grill had the proper chrome trim. the driver figure was detailed using a hyper detailed head, Albert. thanks for taking a look. Let me know what you think. mark.

It'll be a dream come true if I could make mine look anywhere near as good as this one! Absolutely stunning.
this build is just incredible!
Wow, your collections has really grown lately, this thing is awesome. I can't believe I missed it when you first posted it.
Until now I thought I was the only one obsessed with looking at my completed 3 speeds at night when I go to bed or wake up. But I realize now after seeing your project and reading your comments...I am not alone!!! My projects are not near as nice as this one. I will soon be adding them to my new showroom. By the way beautiful truck!!
dante, The decals are original tamiya. You can tell this by the chrome decals under the door. the repro's are just silver.
Hi Mark, I keep coming back looking at this amazing build! Please tell, are these original or repro decals? Thanks Christian
Wow that is one sharp truck!! I'm Speechless
missed this slimmy first time round....glad i've caught it now...superb mate..outstanding..!!!
Thanks, jeffy. It just so happens he liked it so much, I let him keep it on his shelf for now. I have so many and my bruiser will be done very soon.
A real beauty Mark don't let your mental brother near it or it'll end up in a lake.....Upside down
4 eternity ! Congrat's to your work
Top Mounty Mark, really like all the work on the detailing. I just love these old 3 speeds and for me the Mounty is the nicest of the lot. This is definately one of the nicest ones on TC. Enjoy it Mate it's a Beauty !!!!!!!
The body work is really outstanding. What a beautiful Mountaineer!
Much respect, it looks great
Hey guy's, I sure wish you all could see this thing in person. Last night i sat it on a TV stand next to my bed, so that when ever I woke up it was right in front of me. And of course I ran my night light.
This one is almost over the top but I love it!!! I love it!! Cheers Alex
I've spent most of my life covering up or removing Chrome and other bling from my stuff but that is just personal tastes and I totally respect the amount time and effort that goes into building up a perfect model and it will sure be a dazzling display model
What a beauty, nothing alse to say
Awesome.....this is really a museum piece, if you have finished those other three 3 speeds you need to build a safe to protectid all those amezing trucks! Looking forward somewhere in the future to see all those four 3 speeds next together!
Very impressive Mark! The Mounty looks amazing! This truck is one of my all time Tamiya favorites!
Thats a stunning mounty! You need sunnglases to look into the chrome!
A fantastic finish! Definitely an inspiration for all my projects.
So pretty! Great job!
Very nice looks stunning.
Very very nice, and a fair price for the workmanship i think. My fave lookin 3speed to.
I think that is one of the best and cleanest looking Mountys here on TC. Very nice and makes me want to track one down since it is my favorite of the classic 3 speeds. @James, I thought you were after the first 100, this is model 111, so you should send me your Mounty.
Very nice Mountaineer. It looks so clean. Absolutely perfect. Great job Mark
Thanks guy's for all the love. I am surprised that forrest didn't get fed up with how picky i was about the details. But after paying the bill, he didn't seem to mind me sending him the next one.
Stunner!
Bling a ling Mark! Reminds me of US showtruck of the 80's. Really came out nice. Well done.
Superb looking Mounty, one of the best I have seen. Top stuff between you and Scott
What a great job, this looks fantastic!!!
Fantastic truck, the chrome chassis is really amazing!
Fantastic looks Amazing!!! Inspired me to go to town on my Mounty!
Very, very nice! Piece of art!
Wonderful - a masterpiece!
Thats one spotless looking Mounty, can understand you not running it
Lol, thanks for the offer REKR, but i dont think this one will be seeing any action. Shelf space only, for mounty. Ok, every one wants to know the price tag. 1,245.00 USD. That was for all the chrome, bearings, fasteners, paint, labor and shipping. Right now my bruiser is getting the same treatment. Then my blazer and after that a hilux. I'm going for the ultimate 3-speed collection.
This is truly a museum piece - congratulations. When the snow and ice go away - I'll go mud bogging with you - the Mountaineer and my Wrecker. Don't want you to get stuck without a tow - ;_)
What I want to know is how much does he charge? You can message me with the info if you like.
Absolutely Stunning ! Definitely one of my favourites
