Sand Scorcher faded orange really finished
Sorry to post so soon but a lot changed in 24 hours. I was scared to do this final step I had planned for my SS but no pain no gain so I went ahead and sprayed it with mist of faux mud splash like my real cars always get from wind. I don't have an airbrush so i had to use spray cans at a distance in the always present Wyoming wind. I also busted the windshield and masked the wiper locations as best I could. so now it is really ready to go drive it lol! Thanks again for all the great comments and hopefully you don't mind seeing it again so soon but so changed ;) Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys, the drivers and interior also got splattered with mud through the open windows but it doesn't show up much in these pics, Movies like mad max definately played a role in the project I'm sure lol!

Looks great!! Again an amazing job, really like your attention to all those details. Keep up the good work!

Amazing - perhaps if you put some dents and scrapes on the front skid plate would give it that extra look. As is it is still truely outstanding!!
delux
Lovin it!
ukzz4iroc
That is fantastic mate!!
Wyoming
Thanks fellers, The skid plate and shocks will be self weathering...The shocks will leak oil and attract dirt and the skid plate will get hit by rocks as soon as I drive it off road
CARRERA
' ' speechless! Just one question, what 55T motor do you run that fits in the gear casing?
Wyoming
Its an Axial 55t Can motor
CASE1
No guts no glory! I dont think I would have had the nerve to do this but great result: even better!
Wyoming
This mud isn't super scale yet but the real stuff will typically fix that when it builds up on the lower body
alex-digital
Brilliant the way you did the windscreen. So great this. Bringing back memories of a book I had one time with great pictures of Beetles, Baja and Cal-look. Some great pics of bajas in action (unfortunately gone and wish I knew the title). Thanks for this. This is genius in its own unique way. Classic.
