description  Tamiya Rough Rider/ Buggy Champ. Rebuilt using a mixture of vintage parts and modern hop-ups. Built on a new Radshape aluminium chassis. Gearbox, rear suspension, front suspension are all vintage parts, cleaned and spray-painted, vintage front shocks. All bearings replaced with new ballraces. Direct steering set up with alloy sero mounts and Tamiya high torque servo saver. Stainless steel bolts used wherever possible. Steering servo and motor included, no other electronics.



Wheels and tyres are re-release items (wheels assembled with hex bolts). The body is a new re-release part, painted and finished to a good standard.



J-man exhausts and RC Channel front bumper and rear cage are nice finishing touches.



The buggy has been run to test everything, indoors and slowly! This was built mainly as a display car, if you wanted to run this regularly it would need a little work - the plastic inserts in the front arms are quite worn and the gearbox is actually from a Super Champ so there is some slop at the rear mount of the rear suspension arms. None of this would prevent the buggy being run but they're potantial weak spots.
