The Jeep Wrangler based on the legendary XC/CC-chassis could have been a bestseller, if Tamiya has not decided to drop this body first, due to license problems with the Chrysler-Jeep Corporation. So the Wrangler body seems to get the absolute 'sought after' of the XC/CC-series.The Wrangler is featuring spoked alloy wheel imitates in optical similarity with the original. Apart from that and the body, the chassis is like all XC/CC's and offers the same performance and weakpoints, as there are the rapidly wearing out main steering shaft and the flimsy rear trailing links.

The Jeep Wrangler is a great little offroader. Great looking but rare bodyshell. Based on the XC/CC chassis, it excels on dirt trails, moderate rock crawling, and in mud and snow. Once its rear differential is locked this little car is nearly unstoppable and will even outclimb a stock F-350 High Lift with locked rear. The chassis, which doesn't weigh much at all, is very simple and easy to work on. Oil shocks come standard, which is nice. There are several cheap and easy mods that can be done to the chassis to increase its capabilities. Without modifications, some annoyances are the low tolerances of the battery tray, imprecise steering, loose motor mount, and gear cover issues. Overall a very fun car for those not wanting to spend the money on a 3-speed but still wanting to run alongside (or in front of) them. I love mine and wouldn't trade it for anything!
