Designed from the 414 racer, but at a price the general public could better afford, this car has brought Tamiya back to the massed racers. Has proved succesful at local and national level. As normal with Tamiya, it has a number of hop up options available which can turn this car into a top contender in the touring car world. [by stulec52]
TA04PRO kit comes standard with ball diffs for front & rear, classic plastic CVA oil shocks with gold springs and the "PRO" FRP plate chassis & top deck. Metric "pro" 0.4 spurgears and pinion are supplied in the kit, but a universal non-Tamiya spurgear can be fitted to the layshaft to suit your gearing preference. Don't forget the kit supplies Tamiya blue-sealed bearings all round too! [by WillyChang]

this car is a good entry level car to go racing and win. my ta-04 pro is hopped up to the nines but you don't have to spend all that money on this car it's good from the start.there are two weak points on the car you should look out for and they are
1 : the diff joints are very weak and wear out very quickly so if putting it to the test on a track then i suggest the lightweight diff joint set part number 53480 as these are made form nylon and there for should not wear out so quick
2 : saddle packs !!! you can't get them in they wont fit on trays or anywhere on the car so if you run saddle packs your only option is to get the fibre-lyte chassis but this is costly so now you know
good car out of the box and built to be a winner
i love mine
