First of the TA04 tub-chassis kits (following the FRP TA04-PRO). Super-detailed Modena shell is a licenced Ferrari product. Tamiya's kit is supplied with sticky medium-narrow 24mm tyres and silver BBS mesh wheels. Excellent rear wing is included for racing, as is red blanking stickers should you wish not to use it (a first for Tamiya).

UPDATE: Modena 360 bodyshell is available on several other chassis now. However note that the TA04's version comes with the window stickers that are "clear" & see-through.

Took the TA04 Modena to the local park over the weekend. Was superb. Forgot how nice it was to drive. Fantastic handling straight outta box. Corners like it's on rails. I ended up wearing another mm or so from the bottom. I've nnow raised the car so it won't bottom out on the road.

With the standard motor it is quick enough to be interesting, forgiving but not too demanding.

Adults and kids all loved it - my yellow 360 Modena.

This was the second RC car I ever built. If I can build it anyone can! (My first was the Midnight Pumpkin).

The TA04 in the Modena kit is simple and straight forward. I've added metal ballbearings just to improve the transfer of power. Building the car is childs play - the instructions are clear and easy to follow, can't go wrong here.

The Modena bodyshell and the BBS wheels look awesome on the finished model. Don't forget to paint them - it's worth it.

Driving the car is fantastic. It's way better than the TB01. The TB01 is a nice rally car which needs the extra aluminum bits (remove steering slop) and tuning to make sure the car goes in a straight line. The TA04 goes dead straight (and quick) right out of the box. With the Modena body shell the package is simply stunning.

Ground clearance is not that good so you'll need to watch the sleeping policemen.
The fact the chassis all is exposed means you are likely to get items trapped in the belts/drivetrain if the car is used on anything other that tarmac. There are people who would add rally wheels and take it on a dirt track. If you want to do that - get your self a TB01 (fully enclosed).

I love this car so much I've got two with some spare body shells from the Japan/HK. I've also go me the 360GT Daytona bodyshell - so my TA04 is gonna look really slick.
