TB01:
I have 3 of these TB01 cars. One is fitted with universal shafts (front) and aluminum racing steering - both I believe are essential items to make this a superb runner. There is too much slop in the steering without the aluminum replacement - so it's worth getting it in.

I have another fitted with long arms and with a Mercedes E55 body it looks superb. Pure autobahn machine.

The last one is the early TB01 (Mitsubishi German Rally Champion) - you'll need to what what you pay for this as it does not include metal ball bearings. The later releases do - and you'll need metal ball bearings to get it nice and smooth.

Building the car is a plain sailing - nothing complicated. Just follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. Pure Tamiya style.

Driving the TB01 rally car is tremendous fun. I'm running mine with the standard motor and although a little slow it's fantastic at 4-wheel drifts and power slides on a loose surface. If you captured this on video it could easily be something out of the WRC.

Best place is to get one from Japan/HK. They are cheap and there are lots of nice Tamiya bodies to fit!!!

I love shaft driven over belt any day. The totally sealed TB-01 chassis is very nice. The Impreza body just makes it that much better. The stock motor is not enough for me, so I will be dropping in a 16T here shortly. Great car though. (Tamiya King)
