Tamiya adds the Ford Focus RS WRC 03 to its R/C car Series. The image of the Ford Focus RS has changed greatly in season 2003 with a more aggressive look. The car itself is longer providing more room for the layout of the rear wing design and front cooling system, which has lead to a more aerodynamic vehicle with better weight distribution. Weight savings have been made all over the vehicle from the engine to the body, making it 50kg lighter than in 2002. The rear wing has also increased in size to as close to regulation size as possible. The new car introduced in the fourth round of the WRC, gave driver M. Martin victory in the round 6 Acropolis Rally in June and the round 9 Rally Finland in August.
Easy to assemble shaft-driven 4WD TT-01 chassis.
The longitudinally placed motor allows reliable power transfer through a shaft-driven 4WD transmission. Mechanism and battery are loaded in the bathtub chassis in a flat position for greater stability. Low center of gravity and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension insure top control. The tightly sealed gearboxes feature differential gears for smooth cornering.
