The 2WD Rising Fighter features a simple structure and easy handling for a lot of R/C buggy driving enjoyment.
The durable ABS resin body shell includes a driver figure for enhanced realism.
This model runs great on both on-road and off-road tracks, its a great car to start with to begin your R/C career.
Easy to assemble and maintain chassis features a semi monocoque structure which the body is secured to ABS resin bathtub chassis and acts as the chassis' strengthening part.
Independent swing axles for the front suspension, a rolling rigid rear suspension and large-sized friction dampers effectively absorb shocks and bumps.
Fully enclosed gearbox prevents dirt and debris from coming in and differential gears allow smooth cornering.
Wide groove front tyres and rear spike tyres are installed on one-piece astral wheels to improve off-road driving performance.

I thought I would review the Rising Fighter, as I feel it is pretty under rated.
The RF is the cheapest Tamiya buggy available, but it is actually a younger relative of the (more expensive) Grass Hopper and Hornet. In many ways it is like these two classics; light, potentially quick and bouncy.
But, it is better in several areas. The front suspension works better, the rear is better than the Grass Hopper's and there's not much between it and the Hornet's in use. It comes with a larger motor that the Grass Hopper, and the chassis has a more secure battery cover than the older models'.
The newer, larger wheels are also an improvement.
It seems tough, it is easy to build and spares are pretty cheap.
All in all an ideal budget buggy which really is great fun (if not a racer). It just doesn't have the retro charm of it's older realtives, but if you can look beyond that it is probably better, and certainly better value..

A bit of a hybrid! Seems to have a GH2 chassis, with a mad fighter/DT01 motor mount/gearbox, with DT02 wheels.
I built mine in around 5 hours, I put in ballraces from the start, and upgraded to cva shocks, and a 23T Method motor. Assembly was pretty straightforward!
The body top is blue plastic, so you could just put the decals on and race! I chose to spray it silver, with the rear wing red, to give a psudo- McLaren Mercedes F1 colour scheme - much nicer IMHO!
Driving it, its a bit skittish, needs some work on the shock settings I think! those of you with Grasshoppers or Hornets will feel right at home with it! The battery cover underneath is secured by 2 spring clips..too easily lost!
Not sure I would recommend it, its obviously aimed at a Beginner, but I can't help thinking that they would be better off with a GH or Hornet, as Dad might be tempted to buy his own! But not bad as general runabout, and parts shouldnt be a problem!
