I’ve got an update to apply, which I’ll do this evening. It ‘might’ fix it or the only other alternative I can think of is if you send me a different email for me to use on tcphotos only -
Thanks for the support - apologies for that. The reminder service can get a little confused just depending on very specific set of timings of events. In that instance the message is sent in error but I've checked and everything is process ok One of the advantages of being a subscriber is you get free picture hosting on tcphotos.net which you can use for anything (inc making it much easier to add photos to this forum or another) Let me know if you would like me to activate it for you. Regards Chris

The forum is a free feature of the site. Subscription covers the showrooms etc of the main site and it’s the proceeds from that that allow the site (inc the forums) to continue

First and foremost I sad things didn’t work out for fusion, they were great people and a big asset to the uk rc scene. I wish them well in whatever they do next. with regard to impact on the site, financially it makes no difference, my deal with all the sponsors is just to supply occasional kits for prizes when needed. So it might be these competitions are fewer until I find a replacement. if anyone knows someone that wants a sponsor slot let me know. If anyone wants to support the club then subscription is the most important thing chris

The passwords are different - it's a completely external system. Just looking at the issue now. -

-200 error, upload failed
netsmithUK replied to ChrisRx718's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
Ive made some tweaks to the upload. Let me know if it makes anything better. -
ok Firstly, TCPhotos is a secure 'site'. If you visit it by using the url https://www.tcphotos.net then you are also securing the data sent between your computer and the site. This helps prevent 'man in the middle attacks' if you ever use public wifi etc. If you visit it by typing in http://www.tcphotos.net then you are still visiting the secure site, but your data between your computer and the site is less secure. Thats not about the site but the protocol between your browser and the site - its the same for all sites. I could set up the http:.// to redirect to the https:// but this would break all the existing links direct to photos if anyone had used the http:// variant With regard to the password issues. Thats a new one on me and I'll have to look into it. Off the top of my head, and just going back to the above it might be an issue with you using the HTTP:// address rather than the HTTPS:// one, so trying that would be the first thing to do. Just to be clear, and not saying this is the issue in this case but, TCPhotos and logins are in NO WAY connected to anything you might change on either the main TC site or forums - they are completely independent. Resetting in one place does not affect any of the other logins.

Tamiyastef has reported that making sure you are using the https:// address and not the http:// worked for him. I have the same and everytime I have this it seems I'm at http and not https... Since I've deleted the http links in my browser history it's fine. -

This is a different issue unless you are talking about photos.net? Please keep this topic in this thread -
-200 error, upload failed
netsmithUK replied to ChrisRx718's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
I'll take another look. Its a tricky one as the error is caused by the code that protects the site of malicious hacker attacks, basically its looks at a whole bunch of things to do with the upload and scores them, if the combined score is over a certain figure then it marks it as an attack which is what then causes the error (although technically its not an error its the system saying 'no') The score is made up of over 20 different tests - which is why it works for some people, for others when they resize etc and not at all for others, I need to experiment with how I can lower the threshold without raising the risk. watch this space. -
Tried everything to regain access of my old account.
netsmithUK replied to OldUser's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
Combining accounts is not possible and I can't change existing accounts just on an email request for obvious security reasons. If you can send me ANY email that has been sent to you from the club (complete with headers/dates) or have any sort of PayPal transaction ID of a payment to the club (eg subscription) then I can reset the old account for you and close the new one down. -

To protect the server all out traffic goes through Cloudflare servers. It has done for years and generally works really well. (If you are using services which don't use cloud flare you should really be asking what they do to protect your data) I have recently switched some of the settings that should have improved things even further but it looks like it might not have if you are repeatidly getting this 'challenge' screen popping up. I thought you might get it once but then it would be ok. Is the problem still persisting? Regards Chris
