  1. Hi, I use Tower quite a bit and yes the prices are pretty good. Two things to remember though: 1, Shipping charges can be high and on some items (larger trucks) they wont ship outside of the USA or Canada. You will wait 6-8 weeks for delivery normally. 2, You run the risk of Customs stopping the parcels and slapping a charge on them before you get to see it. I got £200 of items a week ago and had no charges what so ever[] but once had a pumpkin body turn up and had to pay £22 more on delivery.[] Saying that though my new Traxxas Revo will be coming from them when its realeased. Adam
  2. Hi Disco, thanks for the reply. I was in Halfords today looking for the Frontera Orange/Gold colour in a spray can but they dont sell it. Did you get yours from the Vauxhall dealer? I like to paint all my Tamiya as per the box art but as the MU Type X colour is a paint mix then I think I will use the original Frontera colour. What was the paint code you used? Thanks Adam
  3. As we don't have the manual on the site yet (hint for the 9 people that have it NIB[]) can anybody shed any light on the Tamiya colour specified for the body[?] Is it TS31 Bright Orange in the spray range or XF6 Copper in the normal acrylic range? I need to spray mine up. Thanks Adam

  6. Hi Chris, My FAV was done with an airbrush and thinned out Tamiya Acrylics. Works fine. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=16768&id=4 Adam
  7. HI Chris, I already have a T-maxx and its been 100% reliable and is now pretty fast. I love Tamiya vehicles but this car is to be used and I just don't think that Tamiya Nitro trucks have caught up with the competition yet. The XTM looks nice but i am unsure as to the strength of it. Some of those parts look pretty thin for a nitro truck. The new Traxxas Revo builds on the T-maxx and makes it better. http://www.traxxas.com/REVO/revo-intro.htm What do you think[?] Adam
  8. Hi all, I have a problem, I am thinking of buying another Nitro truck. As an avid Tamiya collector my obvious choice would be the Terra Crusher or similar. Do I plump for the Terra Crusher or wait until June for the new Traxxas Revo (which looks superb)[?] Decisions Decisions Decisions [8)] Thanks Adam

  11. You need to get a product called Micro Mesh. Its used in the military for polishing scratches out of aircraft canopies. You just use the small bits of cloth starting with a rough surface until you get to the finest. It will remove any scratches and then slowly make the screen transparent again. This will tell you more about it http://www.ss-sci.com/micromesh.htm I have used it many many times and i think you can buy kits in the uk. Adam

  16. Hi, Looks better but I have still got the grainy feel in the picture. It may be that this Mini DV isn't up to the job when taking close up stills. I will wait for better light conditions and try again. Thanks Adam
  17. Hiya, Thanks for the info. I am trying to get some pictures of my cars done. I am using a digital video camera with the ability to take stills. It is on a mini tripod and I am using a white background like you. My photos are coming out "grainy" and I don't know if this is a camera problem or just bad lighting etc. These are the last photos I took and you will see what I mean http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=18961&id=4 They are lacking definition. Adam
