  3. Thought I'd share this vid I made with you guys, please excuse the blitzer beetle shell, the sand scorcher shell's saved for the shelf! Theres 1 swear word in the music if your in the presence of young 'uns! http://www.rcpics.net/img/63761
  4. thanks guys. I've got some more here...
  5. Sorry to those on dial up, but I spent quite a while getting the sizes down to try and help [] Anyway, heres the pics, I was using the blitzer beetle shell and the sand scorcher wheels/tyres - the paddle tyres worked very well!
  6. Got a driver painted and mounted. Also, got some number plates done, they really add to the look. Nearly max articulation, but its not too bad lol! the paints growing on me, it looks very cool in the sunlight! :chug:
  7. thanks guys. I painted the wheels the same as on my real baja, I think they look pretty cool.
  8. yep, their due to be replaced soon.
  9. Yannick: thanks dude, but its still not finished yet! Shodog: True, I see your point!
  10. thanks for the info dude. Those aluminium mirrors are a little expensive as I'm trying to keep costs down, a difficult thing with a sand scorcher project lol!
  11. Well, here it is, in most of its glory, I need door handles and wing mirrors to give the sides of the car a bit of silver, get some fogs lights for the front, and I need to mount the rogue elements plates, once I find them! The colour came out quite a bit darker than I hoped, but it is metallic and looks good in the sunlight. Now to find those hard to find door handles, mirrors and fog lights
  12. thanks guys. I've been away but now I'm back and hopefully going to start painting later on today.
  13. Work on the sand scorcher shells begun. Got most of what I need except wing mirrors and proper SS rear lights, but heres what it looks like at the moment:
  14. they're very cool dude, great work! However, I'm trying to not spend anny more money on RC stuff at the moment, but maybe if your still making them in a few months time... []
  15. Thanks dude. The electrics mount I made myself out of aluminium, very simple design, but it seems to work well. Sorry, I'm new to this forum, whats a Shodog bumper? Thanks.
  16. Hi, Thought I'd post my ongoing SS project. It's built out of 2 incomplete cars, (I thought 1 complete ones better than 2 incomplete ones!). I've recently changed the shocks to tlo1 dampers at the rear (going to be changed for nice oil filled jobbies soon)and stadium blitzer shocks at the front. I decided to get rid of the radio box as I don't plan on using it in wet weather at all. I'm using a blitzer beetle shell as a runner, and am about to start restoring a sand scorcher shell for the shelf. Also, I have some sand scorcher wheels and tyres and an exhaust that I'm going to mount for display only. The plan is to have it working as a runner (hence the suspension and electrics), and a shelf queen with the SS shell when I'm not using it. I'm going to paint the car up to be a replica of my 1:1 baja. Thanks for looking, and plmk what u think! Jack
  17. I drive a peugeot 306 and have a 74 baja bug for the weekends.
  18. ah, you get everywhere lol! Sweet truck as always dude! (MrB) Jack
  19. thanks guys. The emaxx transmissions great for the Jugg, 1st gear gives good acceleration and power (similar to the stock Jugg gearing) and 2nd gears good for quite a bit of speed, not amazing, but way better than with the Jugg tranny. Suspensions good, I used to have a cantilever set up but it was too soft, even with sway bars, the set ups good as it is, although you don't get much articulation at the moment. Im running 40wt oil and AE hard maxx springs.
  20. Hi, just joined the site, its wicked! I thought I'd show you all my Jugg 2, mods as follows New Era tube frame Emaxx tranny with hitect mini shift servo and traxxas tq3 radio magnetic mayhems Home built servo mount, links and skid plate rear steering locked out JJ's wheel wideners lots of other small stuff Thanks for looking! Comments welcome! Jack
