Almost any 540 size motor, especially removable-brush style is better than the stock 540 http://www.vintagetamiyarc.com/

The perennial question... "What's it worth???"
DJTheo replied to Incredible_Serious's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
My guess would be approx. $150, but lately these are crazy eBay times, so you could get anything from $70-$300 http://www.vintagetamiyarc.com/ -
US sellers usually don't have a problem to ship to Europe when I email them, although they state the opposite in their auctions . Also shipping isn't very expensive, compared to Japan and even some European countries! Just that some sellers are too lazy to find exact shipping and often tell numbers 30-50% higher to be on the safe side http://www.vintagetamiyarc.com/

I'm trying to get my motor to give up smoking...

Strange, my SS runner runs even with new 1700mAh batteries and Black Motor Sprint without getting hot... Could it be that your gearbox is worn out and has high friction when its revving up? http://www.vintagetamiyarc.com/ -
I have a great idea (its been a while!)
DJTheo replied to Dazmeister's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
No votes, some might be voting their cars and friends and this nice community will become competitive. IMHO even counters should be viewable only by their respective owners and Chris-god (he can see everything http://www.vintagetamiyarc.com/ -

Some more crazy auctions finished last night (959s for $700 and $960, not NIB SS for $1200), what happened in one week??? I have a feeling many wealthy newbies just jumped to this hobby, can it be also because the club is being listed lately in search engines and has a rapidly increasing popularity? If this is a case, we digged our own holes, thanks Chris! http://www.vintagetamiyarc.com/ Edited by - DJTheo on 11 Sep 2002 08:22:07

You can add also a picture to your signature by using (img)enter here image URL(/img) and a picture with a link -banner/logo- by writing (url="enter here link URL")(img)enter here image URL(/img)(/url), using square [] brackets instead of the round () ones. I think definitions are good to give a general idea, but in the end long detailed descriptions and nice pictures define conditions better. Just as an example if a car has just one small part from a used one, can we count it as new built? If not, this means the owner rather remove the part and leave it only 99% but then it would0 be new built? Anyway nice topic, but words and pictures cannot be replaced.

Why are only half of the cars in your list Stu Fords? Would like hard bodied old realistic Baja Buggys and any kind of hard bodied Jeep or Pickup, mounted on a XC-chassis or its successor, witha 3 speed tranny from a 1:14 truck with 2 output shafts Cheers
