Ok I can see now that I am totally in the minorty here as regards to one of my previous comments (that I have now retracted), I would like to apologise to Ryan (if that is his name) for any offence that my comment may have caused to you or anyone else, its obvious that my feelings on the matter have no place on this board and I will keep them to myself in future.
SORRY EVERYBODY [

]I know that this truck is a later version of the Brute Chassis but I realy need a manual so I can see if there is anything thats missing off it.
so if you think you help out then plaese Email me at wldnas@hotmail.com

This was actually one of my unknown questions about the event, as the main race circuit will be in use all weekend they will probably have attendents directing traffic, I was also worried about weather we woul have to pay for parking, or will flashing the Tamiyaclub ticket be enough for them to wave us all through?
is the RC track signposted at all?
-
Just to re-iterate I have said that I'm taking 12 cars to Snetterton, 10 of which are actually Tamiyas, but given I'm know for collecting "other"stuff I'm only officially taking 2?
I will also now be taking my Bigtrak as well and I might be getting another car off Richard (a really tatty Kyosho Raider) which I will use for a ramp jump or banger race if I can get it running.
but even so I will have plenty of room left for other cars to take and if anyone out there wants to take a closer look at any of my more unusual cars then speak now or forever hold your peace, I am prepared to take a few more cars if called upon to do so, take a gander at my showroom and if you'd like a closer look at something like a Hirobo Zerda, AYK Pro Radient, Monogram Brushfire or the Mugen Mercury I will too happy to bring them along too if asked

-
Hey I'd like one too, but there were two different types of Sidwinder, a blue one with Lexan body and a yellow one with a Pipeframe body, which type was it? I'm after the pipeframe version

I will see you at Snett Frazer, I can't belive you and Richard Brooker haven't met face to face yet? :S

Alright Bill my olde mucker [
]Kyosho Icarus manual in English eh? well it just so happens that I have a photocopied version of the Icarus manual in English, though why you need a manual for such a simple car as the "Pegasus" chassis is beyond me [
]I havent got access to the works photocopies this week as I'm off work for the fortnight, but I could scan it in sometime perhaps, sending Manuals by Email is a pain in the *** but do able, I have been sending a few out lately.
so if you do need one you know who to call

-
My Tickets arrived first thing this morning, unlike Biggus I won't mention the typo [8)] but to be honest I hadn't noticed until BD bought it to my attention [
]I'm nearly all done, just got to get the Decals for the VW bus sorted and finish off my custom Scorcher body for the SSS, now I know you want ppl to bring loads of cars to this one chris but as I've mentioned else where I'm only taking 12 cars and of those only 2 are Non-Tamiyas, so if you was expecting me to bring a multitude of rare beasts you will be sorely dissapointed.
still I'll be ready, see you guys on Saturday

-
I'm Dissapointed in you Bill [V] after all that stuff I bought from you, you didn't even offer to sell me an RC10 [
]were they the original first generation gold tub 10's if so then I'm after one, but must be original and more importantly UNMODIFIED.

I don't usually post in the Ebay forum but this little news tit-bit was too good to pass up.
I admit I haven't been checking Ebay much in the last few weeks (mostly cos I was broke and Saving money for Snetterton
but a guy at my LHS who is pretty clued up on Ebay has said that he's seen the prices of Sand Scorchers, Frogs and numerours other Vintage Tamiya crash to a unheard of low level?is this true? has anyone else noticed this? I took a quick look yesterday but couldn't see much wrong except for there seemed to be More used frogs for sale than normal and they were at fairly lowish prices but still had a number of days to run, if there has been a "Flash Flood" of these items then that might explain a slight dip in prices but a Price Crash??? [8)]

OK just a quick question? I know quite a few ppl are planning on camping out but for those that arn't where are you planning on staying?
I know most ppl will be at the breckland lodge, but is anyone staying anywhere else? or in other words, I couldn't get a room at the lodge cos it was fully booked so was instead dirtected to a B+B in Attleborough called "Lynden" on Connaught road, are any other members booked into this place as well?

Forget what I said before....
I have a new list to run by yah...
Tamiyas:
Bruiser
Blazer
Holiday Buggy modded [}
]Scorcher #1
Scorcher #2 SSS [
]Ranger
Wild Willy [
]Lunchbox
Fox and
TXT-1 VW MONSTERbus coversion [
]Non-Tamiyas:
Nikko Dandy Dash and Day Glow Nichimo Spirit FF
thats a planned 12 cars in total, after last time where I took 27 cars I wanted to keep the number down to stuff I would only actually use, all are runners but I was agonising about bringing a few more (namley my Hornet, Terra Scorcher, Hi-tec Wildebeest, Varicon Panda
but 12 is more than enough to be getting along with, I still need to do some work on a couple of them the Mansterbus and SSS mostly but I've got all next week off work to prepare so hopefully should get it all done. -

GOOD NEWS!! [
]I've got got myself a Dandy Dash in good condition complete with Radio, Box and Manuals.
so Mr PandorasKiste I would gladly sort you out some form of copied manual set if you'd like [
]now there are two manual to the kit (3 if you include the one for the original NIKKO radio gear) there is the Main manual and a seperate parts list, as my kit is the pre-assembled version you would thing that the manual would only cover the basic final assembly, and for the first part of the manual is does, but the other half is taken up with the full assembly instructions and it pretty much leaves off where the ARTR instruction begin (IE fitting the radio gear)
the Parts list is basically an expanded parts list like the back of a Tamiya Manual where it has detailed illustrations of all the parts trees and bags and their relavent parts numbers numbers.
both these Manuals are very detailed and have a great number of pages (32 for the Main Manual) so if you war looking for me to Scan in the manual and Email it to you then that would take ages, both to scan and then trasnfer the files by Email, personally I would prefer to Photo-Copy the whole thing (with double sided pages
and post the copied manuals to you, its less hassel in the long run and you would get a much better quality copy.the choise is upto you, let me know whats best for you, if you still need a manual fot your Dash that is [
]contact me [

Hi WWD
your in luck cos it just so happens that I have a scanned copy of the Big Bear manual on my Hard Drive

now the problem is they are quite large scale Hi-res scans, and even in Jpeg format they are around 3-400Kb each page, there are 16 pages in total and I've just done a quick total of the file sizes and it comes to about 5.39MB which is quite a lot to send Via Email

I could send them a few pages at a time but even then your inbox will fill up in no time when I start to send em, If you have a messanger service like MSN messanger it would be easier and quicker to send the files via transfer.
let me know if you are still interested

Well I could definatly use a set of Bruiser Decals, and some Hilux ones too

I still havent got any of the Ranger ones yet chris, I heard rumours you had sold out of those

will any of these decal sets be available for Snetterton?

I Have 2 Hunters, and one is a runner, the opinions of the car vary depending on who you speak to, some sing its praises while others diss it dreadfully.
I'm afraid to say that I'm a dreadful Disser [
] I can't say I've really "Driven" my Hunter, I've only given it a quick test drive in the street, and to be honest I wasn't that impressed with it really, but maybe its performance Off-Road is far better than On-Road.
as for build quality, as with most Marui it suffers from to poor quality plastics, and the chassis are very prone to snapping across the front just behind the suspension mounts so watch out for that, the front suspension design is inspired with internal cross arm springs, but fitting dampers to this set up might prove troublesome, the rear end is similar to the Tamiya Holiday Buggy with an intergrated chassis/geabox design and plastic swing axle suspension worked through push rods and bell cranks to a mono shock Oil Damper mounted just under the rear wing, the rear suspension crank piviots are also very prone to breakage, I've also found that the gears in the gearbox can strip quite easily.
on the whole its quite a simple car and maybe thats part of its charm, perhaps the reason why I've seen so many broken ones is cos its such a robust car that ppl take it for granted and try to push it beyond its strutural limits, that said I can think of a lot more modern cars that arn't even a patch on the olde Hunter

the best thing about em is the price, Marui Cars havent started on the price spirol yet (except certain MIB's) so you can pick up a half decent used kit for under $100 but make sure you check what your buring cos most of the used ones will have the faults I've described above, getting spares is fairly stright forward, but them Grey Chassis are hard to come by.

here is the only picture of the PB ACE I have, its a ropey scan taken from an advert in a 1991 copy of Radio Race Car magazine.
http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp...003222804_6.jpg
£85 seems quite cheap for a competition buggy, but I guess it didn't sell too well, cos until I found this Advert I had never even heard of the car, still I think it looks pretty "ACE" like I said, it looks Just like a 4WD RC10

-
I'm after some PB racing cars, I will hopfully be starting some serious searching soon, I plan to put an advert in the classified section of Radio Race Car magazine, to see if I can't dredge some up.
Does anyone know exactly how many 1:10 Electric Buggys PB did produced, I know they were pretty big on the 1:8 Gas car scene in the early-mid 1980's, and why have all the PB cars I've seen upto now allways been 4WD's? did they ever make a 2WD?
I only know about a handful of PB cars, the Mustang, Mini Mustang and the ACE, the Maxima is a new one on me? I would love to own any one of their cars, but I would prefer an ACE cos it looks kinda like a 4WD RC10 which I think is pretty kwl

Hi Robabsalom
I'm after a NIKKO Dandy Dash, and I'd be very interested in buying it if your thinking of selling it

I bet I could easily better your workmates best offer for it too, is there anychance you could Email a few pictures of it? does it come with the original Box and Instructions.
as for prices, they have quite an underground following in Japan provided they are Hopped up with the NIKKO "Brat" HP parts but in the west they don't really go for much cos of the stigma attached to the NIKKO brand name (Cheap and nasty TOY Rc's) but to be fair NIKKO did make a few High Quailty "Model" RC's in there time and the Dash is one of them
so what you work mate is willing to offer you for it and them come back to me and I confedently predict I will better it two fold.
My Email address is wldnas@hotmail.com
BTW: this is my 100th post everybody
Whoo Hoo, lets party

I have in my collection an Academy Minicraft Road Runner 2 buggy kit, which is a very poor quality Grasshopper clone that is really a re hash of the World Engines Rockbuster car, but from what I can see of that Monster Hummer kit? it appears to be nothing more that a shoddy modified Grasshopper clone chassis, fitted with Big wheels and a Hummer body.
I wouldn't get too excited about it, especially if the quailty of My MIB road runner kit is anything to go by

-
Well I used to frequent Roby's site like so many other minories in here [
] but my move onto the club was facillitated by two particularly unsavoury characters by the names of Smith & Leckie who were telling me about this wonderful new site that was in the stages of Beta Testing, after a while I had a bag stuffed over my head and I was abducted against my will and wound up here..... I've been trapped ever since, and no one seems interested in paying the ransom [8)] -
From what I've seen of the Zaboon it's nothing more exciting than Kyosho answer to the Tamiya Baja Champ/King IE: its a Buggy based on a modified road car chassis, as the Baja King uses a TL-01 variant (TB-01) so the Zaboon uses a modifed version of the Kyosho Pure 10 chassis, it's very plasticy even for a kyosho but at least its a little better looking than the gawd awful Baja King

-
Those "Big White Things" appear to be foam cover guards, I presume to prevent the rear body mounts from piecing the top of the box
-
I happened to see a BAJA KING kit in the flesh today, my LHS has just got them in stock, the box cover art actually looks half decent, but the car itself is a real mess up, they might has well simple painted the Baja Champ yellow and black, it would look much better.

Hi Twinset... sorry to correct you there but the car you have bought is not a Sidewinder but an earlier AYK called the Super Trail 566B, as far as I know it was the first buggy produced by the maker, the chassis is sort like a cross between the SRB and Kyosho Scorpions chassis.
like the Sidewinder it came with two body styles, the Buggy body (Baja Bison) and a Pickup truck body thats very similar to the Ford Ranger, the Ranger body is the rare one of the two and if you say that you got a truck body with yours then you have done really well
