  1. Sorry for the late response but thanks for the suggestions guys. I took a chance on a rounded LiPo budget pack off of eBay from a UK seller (Vapextech) and bought a 3300mAh rated pack for £20.95 delivered. I got lucky - sort of. The pack fits snuggly in the standard plastic TA03 chassis but is a few mm longer than a NiCad or NiMh packs so the battery stopper won't fit in the chassis anymore. Fortunately the battery is a good fit and won't fall out easily and I've used part of an old body post in the battery stopper hole in the chassis to secure it. Hopefully Mr Tamiya will modify the chassis moulding to accommodate modern batteries in the re-release version of the TA03 when it's released later this year
  2. I've just tried fitting my ancient Yeah Racing round hard case LiPo pack in my TA03 chassis and there's no way it's going to fit without some serious plastic chopping. I've seen some other guys using the Yuki round hard case Brainergy packs but they're pricey. Has anyone found a cheaper pack that'll fit in a chassis that was originally designed for NiCd/NiMh stick packs? I know there are a couple on eBay but when I asked the seller he doesn't know if they'll fit in a vintage car. Thanks
  3. Hi PM sent about some 03F parts I'm looking for Cheers
  4. I'm trying to finish off a long running light restoration of my MRC (French manufacturer not US distributor) MRX 2wd buggy but I'm having trouble finding a part. I need part number MRC 45056. It's the 19 tooth idler gear for the gearbox (see attached photo). Have you got a new or used one to sell/trade? Let me know I'll even take a partial gearbox/car - anything actually! Thanks
  5. Nice work. Put me down for 1 (no bumper). Thanks
  6. Count me in for a SRB meeting Steve. The DT02 Challenge was a great laugh and has given me a taste for racing "unsuitable" cars round a track It might be worth contacting Evoman (Malcom) about using the Kidderminster off road track. I'm sure he's organised race meets for there before.
  7. Does anyone have any info' on the PB hop up 2 speed gear system fitted to their range of electric buggies e.g.Mini Mustang, Ace. Photos or scans of the assembly instructions or even a pic of the parts - anything is better than nothing. I have a few parts of the system but I know I'm missing bits, I'm just trying to work out which bits [:S] If you have any information or PB parts please contact me. Thanks []
  8. Hi Does anyone have any info' or assembly instructions on the PB hop up 2 speed gear system fitted to the comapny's Mini Mustang, Ace, Ultima range of electric buggies? Photos, scans - anything at all would be a big help If you do have information please e-mail me. Thanks
  9. I'm looking for the rear section of a 3spd Hilux body shell. I'm not bothered about the condition anything considered I also need a complete servo rack assembly for a Hilux/Blazer. Anything considered even parts! If you have either of the above parts please contact me. I'm willing to buy/trade and can pay via Paypal. Thanks []
  10. Hi I'm after the following 3 speed parts: 1) Servo mount rack for the radio box (why would anyone remove one of these anyway?) 2) Rear propshaft - from the gearbox to the rear axle 3) Motor mount (the flat metal plate with the hole in it that the motor sits in) 4) **Longshot** Lid for the radio box anyone? [] I'm not too fussed about the condition of the parts anything is better than nothing! I'm happy to buy/trade. If you do have any of the above please e-mail me. Thanks Spike []
  11. I've noticed recently that there are more ebay sellers breaking up their 3 speeds for spares than before. Personally I don't object to this but I suspect there are people that do[] I can understand the benefits to collectors, we can just buy the bits we need to restore/build our 3 speeds rather than pay up for complete chassis'. What I don't get is what's in it for the seller? I've never bothered to watch all the components and total up what they all went for but I don't think the seller makes any more money out of breaking them up[?] Any thoughts on the matter?
  12. Hilux shell for sale. Please have a look at my trading room entry: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp?cid=22259&id=39 If you have any questions or offers please e-mail me
  13. Thanks for the info []
  14. Does anyone know if the ball diff and UJ's from a TA03 will fit the M03 chassis? Thanks []
  15. Hi I've just finished listening to my mate moaning about having to tape his cells into his new and shiney 415MS chassis (what a hardship) [] I have to agree with him that it's a naff way of mounting the batteries. Tamiya appear to have built in and thought of every other type of adjustment and hop up but nothing for drivers who "don't do tape"! Has anyone come up with an alternative method of keeping the cells in place i.e.using a battery strap off another car? Thanks []
