  1. See for youself. From now on you can have a pre-approved auction. I don't understand. Why pay the extra costs to Ebay[?]. Does he know from himself that he can't be thrusted otherwise ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=34063 Well, pre-apporval. OK, I'll give it a try. For me a NIB Wild One for 10 us$ please []! Ooh, sorry, he has to give his approval. greetings Koen Koen
  2. Bibbo, Baillien still has them also Koen
  3. Made allready about 8 deals with Stella. He's the best (and you can even negotiate with him if you want more!) PERFECT shipping and packaging . He uses ALOT of bubble plastic !
  4. Bibbo, I know someone here who is selling a New Built Grashopper 2 for 75 Euros I believe. If these parts fit you could consider buying it. greetings Koen
  5. Hi Guys, maybe you have had the same problem but this is how I solved it. You know that dust is one of the meanest ennemies of display cars. I was looking for a long time to buy a dust free , large display cabinet. Found one but it costs over 2500 Euros. So decided to make one myself. MDF wood structure, glass trays and plexi front. On the MDF wood sides and top I putted some foam joints . The plexi is pressed on the MDF with Stainless steel bars and screws (15 pc). Now it is dust free and you can enjoy watching them all together instead of taking the one buy one out of a box. Problem : it takes about 5 minutes to take out a car, but it is only a small price to pay. for pics : see my showroom greetings Koen
  6. Hi, make that another one for me to ! I got married in an original '63 Super 7 with Cosworth tuned engine : 126 Bhp for only 1400 ccm³. Man the noise . . . . !! people thought it had a 5 litre engine. Does somebody know where I can find the ABC version ? greetings Koen
  7. This is made by Graupner. My friend have the Datsun Fairlady model of it ! It's a Nitro off roader from the early eighties . I believe he bought it in '83. I still remember that they made a 'Rough Rider" looking version of it but can't recall thee name , sorry. Here is the only picture I found from it on the net. http://www.nitroburner.nl/main.htm and go to rc model cars and then choose action pictures page 2 and the choose to the RC cars pictures. Next question : what is it worth ? Well the one from my friend has an unused body and was run max 5 times. (If you are iterested in the pics, mail me) He bought it for about 450 us$ (in '83!) and I found someone who wanted to spent max 80 us$ for it . . . . My friend wants 200 us$ + TP from it. That's all I know of it. greetings Koen
  8. Hi, I've payed 120 us$ for an unrun New Built 936 and 245 us$ for my New Built Ligier Matra (non CS), but the Matra included a NIB bodyset also. The cars are 100% complete and again, never used ! So, if they are brand new , never used and complete offer 300-350. If they are slightly used, offer 200-250 . These are prices I would be willing to pay, but at the end it all comes down to how much you want to spend (I know, it's allready been said a 100 times) But I can tell you this : these are both beautifull cars! The 936 with it's sleek long body (and Belgian driver) and the Ligier with the chromespoiler and rubber tires. Very realistic ! Succes []! Koen
  9. Get a Marder ! (you know what I mean Bibbo : +80 mph . . . ) groeten ! see you on sunday ! Koen
  10. Hi, I just bought a Tamtech Porsche 962. From what I can tell you at this moment, it is MUCH more stable than a mini Z (doesn't have that much interference), MUCH faster and CAN drive in a straight line, something which a mini-Z won't do. We race the mini-Z's each sunday so I'm pretty shore what I'm telling here. Options : I think the ball bearings are about the only thing needed on a Tamtech. So sorry that Tamiya doesn't jump on the 1/24th scale market again ! Instead they decided to make these ridiculous looking cars with crazy looking transmitters! Why . . . . ????? greetings
  11. Hello, see pics in my trade section ! mail me for more pics at koen.claessens@skynet.be I'm selling my NB chassis for a Porsche 934. It is built from NIP parts (have the original cartboard covers to prove it). Perfect in any way and complete up to every original screw which are very hard to find . Included are parts nr 1006 : gearcase nr 1007 : chassis nr 1008 : steeringset nr 1013 : Ni-Cd battery holder Give me a honest offer and it is your's ! I prefer to deal with people from Tamiyaclub before I put it on Ebay ! greeting and best wishes for 2003 !
  12. Thanks guys for the great advice. As for the snow chains, that is a fantastic idea. (I've seen it also but where ??) Like this the original tyres can be reused. Buy the cheapest tyres ?. . . I live in Belgium you know, where a set of standard rims, inserts and tyres will set you back 70 Euros (=+/-40$). A TL-01 kit costs about 90 us$ The new Merc CLK from Alesi costs here 249 € (=+/- 240 us$) . I've seen it on Ebay for 89$. But no problem. I'm in Germany in 1 1/2 hour where prices are more reasonable. Destroying the ice . . . also no problem cause every night they spray water on it which freezes during the night giving it a new smooth top layer. (this is an artificial ice track) . Pics will be posted if everything can be arranged in time (all this together with Racing Master offcourse) Thanks ! Koen
  13. Hi guys, I need some help here. We have the possibility to do some ice racing on an artificial ice-skating track. For the occasion I want to buy a cheap TL-01. I never did this before but if anyone can tell how I can modify the tires (screws from inside, or something else?) and the car to make it possible, please let me know greetings Koen
  14. Hi Spice, The ID I refer too in the beginning hasn't got 2 letters + numbers. It has only letters
  15. Hi Guys, Bibbo, I know where Bilstain is . They used to organise the WC-meeting outdoor trial overthere (those were the good days when Belgium with Eddy Lejeune was on top). it is about 180 km from us Bibbo. So, if it is Belgium , you can count me in also. greetings Koen
  16. I've noticed this a few times with the same seller. I won't tell his name on the board but Bibbo brought this to my attention this morning. So, how does it work? Well : you ask your "friend" or use your second EbayID to put for insance 10.000 us$ as first bid. Than others bid and go higher than they really want (hey, I also sometimes loose my brains when I bid). But no problem cause you're bid isn't the highest. One hour before the end of the auction your "friend" cancelles his bid and suddenly you're the highest bidder [xx(]!!! please watch out and be carefull! Koen
  17. The first one I saw was . . . the Sand Scorcher from my friend. Bought me myself a brand new Ford Ranger 1 month later. We used to race toghether than with the FR, SS a Holiday Buggy (no match at all, bu with the 380 he drove 2 x longer) and a Cheetah. BIG FUN
  18. 32 and getting younger every day !
  19. My first bad moment was whith my first R/C car : The Ford Ranger F150. A friend came by and asked if he could try it. I said yes and (I do not know it to second exactly) after 4 seconds my complete front was bent and the FRP plate shredded to pieces. The repair costed almost half the price of a new one (price new car was 8000BF and repair costs were 3200 BF). ps. : Do you know that a Porsche 956 can do shopping on his own ?? Wel mine could. Going full throttle I lost control. The car launched itself on a curbstone in a curve. At that same instance the shop in that corner 's door opened and the car flew staight in. I had to go and pick it up with my head redder than a tomato . Luckily nothing was broken but I never forget how embarrased I felt! Ah, all those good moment bring back nice memories ! greetings Koen
  20. Hi Bibbo, now I do not race in competition. I (and 4 friends) have a private circuit of about 40 x 25 metres on which we race 1/6th scale off road gas powered cars. I only collect the vintage (and interesting new) onroad cars. If you need more info mail me at home (koen.claessens@skynet.be) ps. I worked for about 3 years in Aalst . . . nice place to live !
  21. Alot I hope Bibbo . Were you the guy that lives in Aalst ? )I live about 10 km form David). What concern's vintage stuff. I believe that one of his biggest motivations to go to Japan was . . . . finding vintage stuff !
  22. Hi Guys, most of you know David Joos (Racing Master). Last sunday he became World Champion in F1 4Wd Class in Japan ! Congratuations my friend!
  23. Hi, You can easily say that I belong to the group that says "I'll never built it" but mostly within a few months I allways end up building them. So , which cars did you built lately. I've built in the last 6 months : 58008 Lamborghini Countach CS 58009 Toyota Celica LB Turbo 58022 Datsun 280 ZX 58032 Tornado all from NIB and have a 580042 Porsche 956 waiting to be built ! OK, maybe it is easier cause these cars aren't that rare or expensive as SS/FR/RR or any three speed but nevertheless, I'm allways very nervous when I start building the kit. My biggest fear is that something can brake while building it. Like my front suspension on my Tornado. Luckily I got hold of a spare one but it wasn't easy to find! greetings and keep on building them ! Koen
  24. It is not exactly my but worth mentioning I believe . . . . and then there was mom. When I got married 8 years ago . I went home to collect my R/C stuff and didn't find my Ford Ranger anymore . . Asking my mom what she did with the car she answered. Oh I've threw it away when I cleaned out your old room . . . . . . ****. The car was 100% complete and the only thing wrong with it was a small crack in the body. greets Koen
  25. Hi Guys, just wanted to tell that a David, also a vivid collector of vintage Tamiya cars, became the European Champion in the F1 4wd class last Sunday in Grenoble (Fr). He's going to Japan ! Congratulations my friend! Koen
