I'm wanting to paint my Buggy Champ Box Art standard and according to the manual it should be TS-12 I have just found out that in the UK you can no longer purchase TS-12 Having looked around I guess I am going to have to use Humbrol acrylic spray paints. The Humbrol Orange Acrylic Spray - 150ML looks to "orangy" to me so I may have to use Humbrol Bright Red Acrylic Spray - 150ML A couple of things Does anyone know if the Humbrol Orange is the same shade as the TS-12? Is it near enough not to worry about it? Will one can be sufficient? Do you have to use Humbrol Matt Primer Acrylic Spray - 150ML prior to painting? Thanks

I have a Nosram Hawk Power Reverse ESC and I'm using a Futaba R122JE receiver. As the ESC plugs straght into the channel 2 of the receiver the futaba power on/off switch does not work. The ESC/receiver are always powered up as long as the battery is connected. Is this the same for all ESC's when used with a B.E.C receiver. I find it a pain having to remove & replace the body to connect & disconnect the battery. Cheers, Nigel.

Thanks to you both for those tips. Is there any difference between a decal and a sticker or are they both the same thing? I assume that mine are just stickers.

I've just started to apply the stickers to my Focus WRC01. Where the body is curved they keep creasing no matter how I try to apply them. Are there any hints or tips for applying stickers on curved surfaces or is it just a matter of practice! Thanks, Nigel.

I've just purchased a Ford Focus RS WRC 01 (58281) and a spare body parts set for it from CubicWorks. The delivery charge was included in the price on their website. It took 14 days to arrive to me (in the uK). There's little in the way of feedback such as being told when the item has been dispatched. I mailed them for confirmation after ten days as I hadn't heard from them and received a response after two days to my question. The price that I paid compared to a couple that I had seen on e-bay for sale was a very good saving. I will use them again in the future. cheers, Nigel.

Thanks very much for those tips, they'll certainly come in handy. Isn't the 16T pinion that comes with the kit and the optional 18/19T pinions(50355)steel? Is ceramic grease the best lubricant to use on the spur / pinion to try & stop them wearing out prematurely? I take it that you recommend the Robinson Racing steel Metric pitch pinions over the tamiya's (50355)? So far I'm impressed with kit and I'm wanting to purchase the Subaru WRC 2001 prototype TB01(58271). As the kits discontinued though it might be getting difficult to find. Thanks, Nigel.

I've just purchased my first car a Ford Focus WRC 2001 (TB01). I was thinking of purchasing a 7.2v 3300 Ni-Mh battery for it and was wondering if somebody could give me a rough idea of the run times that I might expect with this car 'out of the box ie 16T/61T 9.91:1'. At some stage I will probably want to upgrade the motor to maybe a tamiya sports tuned (53068) or super-stock (53477)with probably up to 23T/55T 6.22:1. Again any rough ideas of the run times expected with this set up. Thanks, Nigel.

Hi, I'm looking to get back into Tamiya R/C electric cars after a 22 year absence. One thing that I have noticed is that most transmitters now seem to be pistol type rather than stick. Is there any real advantage of one over another for cars or is it just down to personal preference? I was thinking of going for a pistol type but as I'm left handed they all seem to have the wheel on the right in the lower end models. cheers, Nigel.
