  1. I will be attending as usual, give the gravel hound some more bashing! Its got a load of GPM alloy parts now, so any structural damage should be kept to a minimum. It also has an LRP super sport esc and a Fireball 13 or 15 turn motor (can't remember). I will also bring along me TXT and my Frankencar. A bashed up Fighter Buggy with King Blackfoot wheels, Acto Pink motor and the old shocks from me gravel hound. Its super fast but bounces a lot and then generally crashes. Looking forward to it!
  2. Im well up for the Long jump! The others sound like fun as well, although the Drag Racing might be difficult as I generally have trouble going in a straight line[].
  3. I am planning to purchase a new ESC. I want one which can handle most motors and is not too expensive. I noticed that there is a sale on a few of the Mtroniks ones over at Modelsport. The Sonic4 RV11 seems pretty good. Any ideas which alternatives are worth a look. Cheers in advance
  4. Great vid, did anyone get any pics of my gravel hound in flight?
  5. I really enjoyed it! We definately need the ramp next time, or maybe a bigger one[]. All my cars are still intact, even the Gravel Hound after cart wheeling and landing on its roof numerous times[]. It might be worth bringing a metal detector, to save us wandering about looking for bits that catapult off. Can't wait for the next one, perhaps I will make my hound a bit faster. Although it will only end in tears[], or maybe just a large bill.
  6. Im all set as well, i plan to turn up some where between 11 and 12, maybe earlier depending on how much of a lyin i have!
  7. Hi all, I was just wondering where I would be able to get a spare set of stickers for my TXT. As I have now painted the extra body, its now black with clear windows. But it doesn't look that great as the lights and grill stickers are missing. So where would I be able to find them? Will they come with the standard sticker set. My TXT
  8. Well it only took a couple of days for my savers to turn up and i ordered them from Tower Hobbies. Perhaps im just lucky
  9. Just checked the ushra site, one of the trucks has a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles paintjob!
  10. I shall be bringing my new TXT and the Gravel Hound. I may also bring along my subaru although it does ride a bit low.
  11. Just ordered the servo savers from Towerhobbies, they should turn up next week.
  12. Right which one of these is the one i need. This one, or this one. Or is it a completely different one?
  13. Ive gone for the TowerPro ones, because there cheaper and im not really that bothered, but thanks anyway.
  14. Cheers twinset, although £400 does sound a bit steep. Ive just found these, would they do the trick? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TowerPro-Metal-Gear-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. Ive finished building it now and ive decided to use 4WS. The only problem is that i think im going to need some better servos. At the moment im using Acoms AS-12's and im guess there not really adequate. So can anyone suggest any better ones and if so would they still be compatable with my acoms reciever and transmitter??
  16. Just had a look at the site, as Chris said its well laid out and easy to navigate. I will be attending next time, hopefully with my TXT, if it ever turns up.
  17. Sorry should have said, i have ordered a txt. It should arrive in the next two weeks, can't wait!
  18. Well it doesn't matter anymore as ive just ordered one from ebay. It works out at £230 including a set of bearings ive also ordered. Just gotta wait now for it to turn up!
  19. Thats what im thinking, just gotta get me head around the cost lol.
  20. Hi everyone, after breaking yet another axle on my King Blackfoot. I have decided its time to raid the piggy bank and get something bigger and better. I been looking at both the TXT and super clod and have searched the forum for threads relating to each and still cannot decide which would be better suited for my needs. I've always wanted a big monster truck, but never been able to afford one before now. I only really want it for driving about and general messing. Im not to bothered about crawling, if it can then even better, but I don't plan to do any modding. So im thinking that the TXT would be a good choice, out of the box its seems better than the clod. Although it costs a bit more, I prefer the design and the articulation on it is wicked. If I get one from ebay, most are shipped from hong kong and the price seems to be about the same as a new clod £220ish I think. On the other hand the clod is cheaper, but I don't really like the design of it. And it seems almost everyone has modded theres, which isn't really what I plan to do. A stock TXT is obviously better than a stock clod, but the clod has more potential for hop ups.[8)][8)][8)] If anyone has any advice, I would be most appreciative.
  21. I had a great time too, think i need a few more batteries for next time!
  22. I shall be joining you, not sure about getting there for 9 though. I shall be bringing my King Blackfoot and Gravel Hound, as well as all me bits in case something goes wrong (such as broken axle or wheel flying off). Looking forward to it.
  23. Im up for that as well, if its near Newmarket, thats closer to me than Thetford is.
  24. What about this sunday?
