  1. Stadium Blitzer - yahoo. Also watch all of the Blitzer Beetle body mounts dissappear very quickly - there seemed to a lot of those around the last few months also. I wish they would release more stadium Thunder wheels(yellow) also as I have two sets of fronts in yellow (second hand but good condition) and two sets of rears from the Stadium Blitzer in white. I might just have to paint them. I with you Berman on the wheels - worth waiting to see what they release as $22 is a lot for a pair of wheels but it is all supply and demand at the end of the day - but exchange rate is getting better for us all the time. The Avante also - hopefully the end price will be a lot lower than the quoted price.
  2. one of the guys in this post might be able to help by the looks of things. Man I would love one of these truscks. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...amp;mode=linear
  3. and another site with some - note they really dont appear in order all the way down the list so look carefully - both teh avnate and Egress were there I see. http://www.wheelsacademy.com/a1/rcauto/catalog/manuals.html
  4. These are branded Frewer. They are actually clear polycarbonate I think with a blue protective film. Does anyone knoew what they are used for? I have some smaller ones which are a different shape which are used for side wings on the rear spoilers for some of their bodies.
  5. Thanks - that will unfortunately be too wide with the wheels on. I measured my Dirt Thrasher also. Does anyone know the hummer width measurement hex to hex please??
  6. I have a few of these chassis's and have some older but wider bodies by Frewer (220mm and 230mm). Can anyone suggest how to widen the track on these chassis's. I realise I can go for wder rims with an agressive offset which will help but wont get it all the way out there. I have read an article a long time ago about using Super Blackfoot drive safts and packing them between the bearing and the pin/hex. Does anyone else have any sggestions for alternative arms that could be adapted with wider dogbones? Are the hummer arms from the DF01 wider than the TA02 arms?
  7. I have read that people have used the old 850 brass bearings on the hex to gain an extra 2mm width on each side. see http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...44&sid=9813
  8. It was a Frewer one which is 230mm wide and you can trim to accomodate a 257mm wheelbase - the rear is not formed so you can match it to your chassis. My boy has a very beat up one on a TA01 chassis in my showroom. I have a couple more (or is it 3 - I need to look) of these shells which one day I will paint myself and an XR3 shell to also do. If I have 3 of them I will possibly sell another one off.
  9. I need a 6mm hex Drive to complete my Blue Monster Beetle in my show room. Does anyone have one they want to sell to me or suggest other models that use the same hex system i.e. QD Midnight Pumpkin I believe. Thanks.
  10. Hi all Could you please help me compile a complete list of all cars that are on the DF01 chassis. Yes this site has some of them listed but not all I believe. The ones I think are DF01 chassis are: Manta Ray ( all variants) Top Force (all ariants) Terra Conueror Dirt Thrasher Blazing Star Hummer Mitsubishi Racing Lancer Porsche Cayenne Are ther any others? Additionally what is the width of the track on the Hummer, Porsche Cayenne and Mitsubishi - are they narrower than the likes of the Dirt Thrasher, Top Force and Manta Ray. All help greatly appreciated.
  11. Myles is definately one of the good guys.....I have never ever had an issue dealing with him. I have no hesitation in recommending him to complete a transaction with and I am on the otherside of the world.
  12. Is it just me or is this site having some problems as often lately I have been unable to open a number of pages at all and often it is running slow on the forums. I noticed also for a day I couldn't even start a forum. I love this site so I hope it is just a glitch that is happening. My internet connection is fine for everything else I use. I hope I dont upset anyone and have put this in the right forum....I am sure I will be told if I have got it wrong.
  13. I have always founf Jason to be very good to deal with - sometimes a little slow in responding but he has always made right any orders he has stuffed up even to the point where he sent two rear pairs of rims when I had oprdered a complete set. He sent me two front pairs so I ended up with two complete sets - I was more than happy and have purchased off him many a time.
  14. I am after a set (2 pairs) of radial tires for a Blitzer Beetle. They came out of the original TR-15T Truck and The Chrome Blitzer Beetle. If you have any at all and are willing to consider selling them please let me know. thanks.
  15. Here is a members Fujimi RX7 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...80&sid=2193
  16. Can anone shed any light on what these are from? the Black one is marginally(less than a mm)bigger than the white one. additional photo added
  17. WillyChang - he is talking the original 935 as opposed to the Tamtech released one. I would suggest you purchase some of Tamiyoman(Myles) decals rather than try and apply the waterslide decals. I to have the static kit and that is what I intend to do once Myles has one more set of decals I am after. Good luck
  18. I see the next round of rere bodies for the FF03 chassis are out. Does anyone know if Tamiya are going to release original style wheels also?
  19. Probably a silly question but do you have to change your servo's when you move from 27mhz (AM) to either FM or 2.4ghz??
  20. Hi all. I have managed to pick up a Lancia and a Porsche 961 - both bodies have issues so I am probably going to keep an eye out for static 1/24th kits to put better bodies on these little babies. I rigged up a very drained 7.2v 6 cell battery to test if they still worked and they both do. Servo and the CPR UNIT work well in both. The problem I now have is that I have 3 batteries, one the wires came out of the connector, the second is very corroded and wont take a charge at all and the third takes a charge but only that it will move the servo - I really dont believe it is getting enough charge to run the CPR UNIT. Tires are shot but have some spare front ones but will need to get some rears. These wont be perfect but still would be great to fix them up a little and blat them around our wooden deck. I had a quick look on Ebay and no batteries. I am thinking what other batteries could be adapterd to use on these or does anyone know of a source for an original battery. all suggestions welcome as usual. I will add some pics to my showroom shortly.
  21. definately get a CRP front chassis brace(metal). They are cheap on Ebay. Great buggy.
  22. I use music casette tapes - even keep the tape in them for onroad cars - holds them just high enough off the shelf - some the tires are still touchng just. I raided the kids toy wooden blocks which my father made for them for the like on Blackfoot and Monster Beetle as needed more height.
  23. I just picked up my first GR.B Celica locally - very second hand body but chassis is fully complete with Technigold still there. NO cockpit either which was a little dissappointing but will get a Bluegroove repo of body and cockpit and off to Myles for some decals. There is one Spot light missing - does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative light bucket to use as I assume they are very hard to source now. If you have any suggestion please share with us all as I am sure there are others in the same situation. If you have a spare Spot light please contact me of course.
  24. Picked these up in a parts lot. I have no idea what they are for. The wide rims are brand new, the narrow rims have been used. Can anyone shed some light on what these are off. Front wheels appear to take a 8mm bearing and the rears a 9mm hex (hard to measure). All the rims are 36mm diameter
  25. I would also like to know as I had thought about this a few times as I see this kit come up for sale down under from time to time.
