I have a DC Delta Peak charger called "Pro-Peak Xing" which is a DC charger. I want to be able to use this in the house also so want a AC power supply. This charger can charge as high as 4a therefore I assume I would need a 12v 4a AC power supply. I am no expert or things electrical - Can someone please confirm/advise if I am on the right track. Thanks.

Thanks guys. Not that keen on the soldering iron approach but thanks for the tips. Being down under most of the products people talk about I cant get.

Can someone please direct me to a site which has most of the electric motors produced by Tamiya with all of there specifications. I thought I had saved the page a year or 2 ago but now cant find it.

Hi there I know this topic has been discussed many times before. I purchased some Polyweld following fellow members recommendations. The issue I have is that I want to use the shells I repair (Monster Beetle, original Blackfoot for me and some fighter buggy sheels that the boys use). The ones I have repaired to date dont appear to last any impact damage. I have attempted to use styrene to reinforce repairs. Can anyone suggest a better product or am I just wasting my time and repairs are only good for the shelf? Do I need to ensure there is plenty of pressure placed on a repair when welding together? Is there a recommended time before use i.e. a week of two? Thanking you in advance.

58441 Rough Rider "Buggy Champ" Re-release
kalsh replied to blackdogbro's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Ok JR just sold 100 rear cages which I had been waiting for ages for him to list - he even emailed me to tell he was given I had asked politely and have purchased plenty of stuff off him however given my time zone I got the email at 11.50pm and naturally wasn't still up at that time. When I looked in the morning all 100 were gone. Who was the lucky ****** who purchased 42 of them??? Greed some you would say - it will no doubt be a reseller trying to make a living. My locay Hobby store still cant get them. -
I know......I was just being cheeky Mike. If you want to keep the coil overs I would still be interested in the shocks. PM me if you dont sell them.

I asked a similar question a way back. I haven't actually put it together yet but was told a blackfoot couter gear which you can still buy would work. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...c=46820&hl= I just checked a new Blackfoot couter gear against a thorp countrer gear (from a second set I have) and apart from the thickness they have eaxactly the same number of teeth on both cogs - unless I am comparing it to a robinson counter gear which I dont think I am. I intend to run the blackfoot gear at some stage. Have you checked the balls in the diff - they might newed a re grease? good luck - I will watch with interest as there are many members who have thorp diffs.

Sand Scorcher, Hornet, Grass Hopper, Buggy Champ
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
thanks guys - so are the tires interchangeable between all or are the BC,RRand FAV a different wheel/tire size? I thought the rears were the same but the front were larger but dont have any to compare. What is the actual difference in the wheels? -
Hi Mike, Not being a purest (like many I guess) a lot of people are opting for Buggy Champ parts. I would be happy to take both sets off you for say $60US plus postage – You know the old saying if you don’t ask you don’t get. Good luck with your auctions. Regards Kelvin

Cant help with the speed controller - I would suggest an upgrade to an ECS . Try via Ebay - *NEW TAMIYA ESC TEU-101BK Electronic Speed Control - $20US a. hard to get part and not worth the entire parts tree. I would glue it back together or screw a small piece on aluminium to it to hold it together b.you can still get the rebuild kits on Ebay from time to time - they come with bew shafts and seals plus oil. try Ebay - Tamiya 58060 Monster Beetle Damper Bag 9405299 - less than $10US c. try some of Tamiya Club's repos - are said to be very good. Originals could set you back $70+US d. Ebay search - Tamiya Blitzer Beetle Nose Cone Q Parts Window Wipers - less than $8US Good luck - great to see another MB on the road again

I am considering purchasing some alloy wheels covers from TC memebr RA1028 but before I do I was wondering what the difference is between the wheels for all of the cars I listed. RA1028 makes covers for the Buggy Champ which I assume will fit all of these wheels. The reason I ask is that I dont have a buggy champ but have wheels off all of the others mentioned. thanks

Please, a number of you must have done this repair!! I will keep an eye out for Buggy Champ parts naturally, like everyopne else of course. Thanking you in advance.

The common problem has ocurred - broken bottom mounts, well split actually. I have all the pieces. I tried poly weld- no good at all on this plastic. Can someone recommend another glue or welding compound to use which works please.

Buggy Champ Parts
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in Off-Site sales plugs, tips & gossip - Including eBay, Gumtree etc.
The reselling has started and the mark appears like highway robbery - probably from the first lot sold a couple of weeks back. I just hope it ends up like the blitzer beetle nose cones and Jason just keeps listing them! I have no problem with the likes of Loaded who add value or the people who are resellers as they want to make a living- it would be nice however if Jason would sometimes limit what any one buyer could buy then everyone would have a better chance of buying at a reasonable price. I believe there will be more listed - just have to keep watching and surely if Jason is selling them I guess the parts will be available to other Tamiya dealers or is he simply breaking up full kits? -
boy do you have to be quick on Ebay to pick up some replacement parts for SRB rebuilds. Jason just had 51 bumpers, rear guards and mechanism boxs, gear & motors covers for sale. Snapped up in just over 10 mins by as few as two buyers and in most cases 5 buyers. Also 10 bodies and 31 B parts ( roof and head lights I think) and 31 sets of rims. I had been watching for days but got stuck watching a movie and missed out again. I just hope he keeps listing them so we all have a chance to get some parts. Well done to whoever was lucky.

Does anyone know if a blackfoot extreme front grill will fit a king blackfoot body? Also does the blackfoot extreme rear bumper fit the king blackfoot?

I realise this thread has got slightly off topic but I also attest that JR-RC is a good guy to deal with. I have ordered many things from him over the years and have only had a couple of very minor hiccups which he has always made good with no questions asked. He is human and makes mistakes because he is dealing with so many orders. Back to the Black Porsche - it certainly is a premium for the bag but for the people investing to make a buck at some stage they will no doubt make a premium if someone is desperate to get one long afetr production stops, and there will always be that someone. For me I will try and get one without the bag and hopefully the prices will come down. -
I bought this as it was in an auction with a badly beaten King Blackfoot which had a reasonable chassis and thought that looks like a hot trick chassis in the box. I dont have a hotshot (yet!) unfortunately but am interested to know what parts of the hot trick chassis are required to complete this. Does anyone have a copy of a hot trick manual? Shocks are definately complete and still move very smoothly. I did notice that the battery holders have schumacher on them so I am guessing these were added to the chassis. The chassis itself is not aluminium but all of the other parts are. All help welcomed on this one. thanks.
-
I know this looks old and appears to be an early peak charger for Nicads (which I still have a few of). Can someone please identify and if anyone has a manual scan I would be very grateful. Thanks.
-
I thought this was something else in an auction (average pic at best). What is it? where does one view a manual? I realise it isn't all there. Is it worth anything? (Please dont say willing buyer willing seller - just a guesstimate). I think it might be a Schumacher?

JR-RC had 20 at $285US with the bag - I didn't bother as think that is too much. I will keep my eyes open from other sellers of which one has emailed me to say when they get them they will be $165 (not sure if that includes the bag) which doesn't actually worry me. Well done to the people who puchased them. I watched the last 6 disappear very quickly. -
nope- 29mhz was used - I will try my sons 27mhz car also and see what happens. Can anyone suggest a 27mhz 4 channel reciver?
