Has anyone used this company? Are they reliable? http://www.etamiya.com/shop/index.php?osCs...02f4388d77120c8
  2. all sorted and working fine now
  3. Has anyone used this company? Were they reliable?
  4. I see there are a number of TGX bodies appearing on Ebay all of a sudden and the prices are dropping which is fantastic. ($15 pound from one seller in the UK appears to be the average price for best offers lately) and reasonable international postage if you purchase a number to get the initial cost down. Has Tamiya completed a new run of these shells or has someone stumbled upon a warehouse full of these like so many other parts which appear to pop up from time to time.
  5. Is anyone else having the same problem I am encountering on the Ebay US site, namely when I try to do a search and select Worldwide it automatically resets the worlwide search box to unticked again. I therefore have to go via Ebay UK to complete a worldwide search. A little annoying eh!
  6. Can anyone suggest a good shipping agent or firm to ship a parcel measuring 60cm x 30cm x 45cm which weighs probably less than a kilo (has polycarbonate bodies in it) from the UK to NZ. I thought I was going to be able to use standard UK surface post but the dimensions are too big.
  7. I see a reseller has some listed at 29.99 pounds- thats probably 600% markup taking into account postage - looks funny with the new listing of 4.01 pound right next to them. Wow there has been a $10 pound reduction to $19.99 pounds already - I still dont think they will sell many at that price........
  8. JR has listed a new batch of 300 - hopefully they will go out to collectors rather than resellers or will the resellers try and protect their invextment and buy them up again? Good on Jason for having more. I hope he has lots and lots so the people who bought 50 or more struggle to amke any money on them. I have seen other products of his been completely bought out by resellers - I was thinking about some mercedes 190e wheels - a full set for $9US which I watchlisted and low and behold all 5 sets gone to the one reseller by the time I decided to buy - I know I should have just purchased them.
  9. I picked this up about 6 months ago but dont really want to use it. The old six million dollar question - what is one of these worth? I have kept an eye on Ebay but have only seen an MG body at a buy now of $62US. Is this body rarer than that one?? Kyosho Nostalgic Car Series Body Kit NIB Lotus Europa Special - 1/8.9 scale - #39614 Unpainted, not cut-out, in original box, with decals. Thanks
  10. wow.....RC Car spares purchased 100 - that appears a little greedy but I guess it is a first come first serve basis and some guys are trying to make a living - no doubt they will be relisted in a week or 2 and the price will have doubled or tripled. Jason use to have an ongoing supply of these when he also sold the black beetle bodies for $19.90 US but he hasn't had a lot of late or someone has been buying them all up. I better do an archive Ebay search of the last week to see what else has been quickly purchased in bulk
  11. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what the distance is between the top of the shock tower shock mounting points on the inside of the shock towers for a sand scorcher and advise what CRP shock tower brace fits what measurement? CRP parts come in standard which is part number 1510 and 1/2 inch wider which is 1512. Given I have only recently acquired my first sand scorcher I have no idea of the different measurements. I know some of you lucky members will have both front ends and will easily be able to answer my question. thanks.
  12. Great model the old monster beetle. Just try Ebay and ensure you have selected worlwide seach and search Tamiya 50374. Lots of suppliers (8 at present) have them but you need to watch the all up costs of puchasing and Shipping. Good luck
  13. What are these from. It appears they have the same shaft as the falcon with the hexagonal drive cup(similar to monster beetle) but there is no hole on the narrow shaft for a pin? I have no idea what these are for. Can someone help?
  14. Thanks to all who have responded. I will try the polymorph and see how it goes.
  15. The six million dollar question. Does Tamiya still make these or does anyone do a reproduction? After many years of watching and having to be happy with a monster beetle(which is also a great car) I have just managed to purchase a very second hand sand scorcher which the ballraces need replacing on as the balls simply drop out of them. The radio box has the crack at the bottom and the front bumper is broken and the body had the mirrors missing, exhaust broken off (top part), wipers broken, aerial mount broken, no front signals and a small part of front right guard broken off (but I have the part). .No electrics as the owner removed (trying to negotiate to trade some newish radio gear for them). I also got a manual and the driver who is painted - apart from that looks not too bad and only paid $165NZD. If I cant find new or very good second hand ballraces is there another way to fix i.e. larger balls of the front arms? I will keep an eye of course on Ebay. I plan to simply clean it and use it on a very limited basis. All suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated or if someone has a set ythey want to sell to me please let me know. Yellow and only scorcher in my show room thanks Kelvin
  16. Thanks for the help. Very much appreciated. I did wonder as much about the quality - it doesn't lool as good as Tamiya. I have seen those Ebay sellers and yes most German sellers dont take PayPal which is a nuisance. I will simply keep my eyes open for the parts if they come up. I might just use it as a 2wd drive which will be interesting for a gas car eh!. Thanks again!
  17. Hi there I was looking to purchase some wheels for an Opel Cliff 1/10 model which were the same as some mercedes namely 50456. I purchased these locally but didn'tpick up in the photo they were gold when I was looking for silver rims. What model are these off and does anyone know the part number? thanks
  18. Can anyone help me with a gas car I purchased in the UK. Please note I live in New Zealand. I purchased a VW beetle gas car(new shape) which was described as a Carson/Tamiya and the manual which is in German and English is a Carson Modelsport or Modellsport but does has reference to Tamiya also. My model is 2wd but can easily (or so I thought) be converted to 4wd withe a simple conversion kit. The kit conversion number is 54875. I believe the model I have is a CR2 and the same model withthe conversion kit preinstalled is a CR4. Is this simply a Tamiya model which has been rebranded?? Can anyone know who stocks these models or help me secure the conversion kit?? If someone could find this kit and order it for me I will pay the cost of purchase and shipping and any reasonable handling charges via PayPal plus PayPal charges of course. Model Number 13351 and the conversion kit I am after is 54875. see my showroom
  19. Sorry to here you are having trouble with Myles. I have purchased off him many times and never had a problem, even with shipping all of the way to New Zealand.
  20. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone help out with an answer to this. I have just purchase a second hand thorp ball diff with slotted outdrives and already had a set of wheel axles for the thorp set up. I have never had or run a thorp ball diff before and dont have any drive shafts. Can someone please tell me do I need to purchase thorp second hand drive shafts or is their another tamiya drive shaft that is the same lenght and will do the job? If so what is the lenght of the drive shafts and what model do they come from. Additionally what is the correct pinion gear to use? I see someone on ebay is selling shorter outdrives which will accomodate the frog driveshafts but the price of those looks a little high at $39US. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
  21. I am looking for the alternative dog bones(similar to the new release Frog ones) not hex driveshalfs.
  22. Can someone please help me with this???

  24. Apart from the original Blackfoot and Mud Blaster, what other vehicles used the either the front or rear springs that the Monster Bbeetle uses. I am looking for some new ones. Has anyone purchased any of the CRP ones which unfortunately have gold rear springs - what were they actually like? thanks.
  25. try these guys out http://www.asiatees.com/model.php?brand=Ta...A02&pid=958, I found them very good but am not 100% sure what TA02 parts fit the FF01 - I am sure others can help you out on this one
