Need them to be locking/clamp for thorp axles which don’t have a hole for a pin adaptor that is used on the plastic ones.
-
Anyone got any suggestions?
-
Those wheels appear to be back in stock.....as you say very pricey........simply google LOTUS 1.9" ALUMINUM WHEELS (WIDE REAR)
-
I take my hat off to the gent who did them ( sadly he has passed on).
-
Ok fellow TC members. I picked up a newly painted bodyset(light blue), a new to be painted and decaled bodyset, and a used runner body for the F103RS chassis of which I have none. Oh I am missing one metal rear spoiler stay (I have 3 for the new bodies and there was on 3 in the box ( I can make one up probably) What other chassis‘s could these fit as I particularly like Porsche so will be hanging on to these.

I tried to purchase one from Gmarket and almost 3 weeks after taking my payment they advise they are unable to ship internationally.....very frustrating as they should have made that call at the outset. Not sure how trustworthy the site is as a result. -
Does anyone know if he is sill trading or has he closed up. I have an old web address but it no longer works.
-
Good on you for calling this out. A real loss to our community and naturally even more so to his family. He is gone but will never be forgotten by us.

Is there any member in Germany who could assist me with a purchase I have made in Germany for some Original monster beetle nose cone parts and driver tree? I live at the bottom of the world in Auckland , New Zealand. I can get the parts to you and if you could post them on to me at my cost of course I would be very grateful. Payment to you via PayPal gift of course. Hoping someone can PM me and we can work something out. As always I would be happy to return the favour from my part of the world. cheers Kelvin

That is probably the best paint job I have seen on the Monster Bettle - a credit to the painter! I would be too scared to run it and get a second body to bash around with.
-
You might want to get a polycarbonate body if you are going to run it hard with that set up which sounds a lot of fun but I suspect your hard body will have a very short life. A great father and son project.

I have one heading down under also.....missed out on the 49400 all those years ago so this will fill the void for now. i am a little surprised they haven’t been snapped up or perhaps people are thinking Tamiya will do a wider release with a new box etc......I hope not of course.🙂 -
Price has since jumped to $72.60us......oh dear. I purchased a couple and they arrived....yay🙂....and whilst they were still at $45 ordered a couple more only to get, sorry out of stock and not getting any more in.......and then refund took over a week, and then the very same week they list 10 more of them at $72.60. I guess they got their pricing wrong and didn't want any more out the door which I understand......but I don't like the being lied too.😡

Tamiya 9402840 which is a full tire set for 58627 from Tamiya USA for $15.50 are the same tire I have realised. Thanks to a fellow TC member in the US who ordered some for me and posted them on. It no longer costs an arm and a leg for some new radial tires for a TGX.
-
I see these have appeared on EBay at US$45 from a well established seller. I have had this bookmarked at MIP site for ages at US$60 and had been humming and harring over should I or shouldn't I but at $45 it made the decision very simple - buy two. Small packet will hopefully arrive and wife will be none the wiser...lol.
-
Looking for some of these or someone who perhaps could make some. Any suggestions fellow TC members?
-
Now that would be nice. I did stumble across some low profile slicks a number of years ago and have them stashed away for some rebiuilds. A fresh supply would be great.
-
Thanks. Have I missed this knowledge from previous posts as I have been keeping an eye out for years for TGX tires at a reasonable price and now see this is the cheapest way to buy them. Thanks for confirming Salvine.
-
Can anyone confirm if the onroad radial tires in the CC01 lowering kit 54625 are the same tires as the TGX tires please? I note a few sellers have TGX tires for sale but if these are the same tires the best option is to buy a CC01 lowering kit simply for the tires. Thanks.

I ordered 2 and they have both arrived on different days fortunately as the wife only saw one of them. I see I have missed the release of more of the gt2 Porsches also so hit buy now on Stella at $114.90 which I think is a good price. Being down under in NZ we do spend a bit for shipping of circa $50 per kit ( all values US of course). I have a couple of nib carbon fibre chassis plates stashed away and silver gearboxes. For the 934. Thanks also to Shodog for the link to the wheels - waiting for them to arrive. I was going to buy a Blackfoot but that will have to wait a while.
-
Just paid for my 2 coming from Stella. Only to.d her indoors about one of them...lol
-
Yes they are perfectly fine to deal with.

That would drive me around the bend. I have had to pick through boxes and boxes of parts to find something. It drives my wife mad also watching my behaviour when I can't find something......I just keep hunting and cursing as I do it........good luck finding them.
