Are the universals the same as the upgrade available for the rerelease frog? Still same internals in gearbox so old frog screw mod still required. Body mount still the same and front mounting point for the spots still all the same so the weak points pretty much all remain. Still excited about this and have preordered from my normal Asian supplier.....do I order a second one ....decisions decisions......how long before a body set is released??.....and will they release a upgraded diff like they did for the sand scorcher based on the thorp upgrade.........oh I hope so..........would definitely have to get a few of all of those if it happens.....come on Mr Tamiya........ just a shame the exchange rate has moved almost 20% against me in recent months down here in little old NZ.

Forgot to add its a shame they didn't reserve 58600 for this one.....a simple play on the original 58060

OMG. Where have I been since this news came out? My first car and yes I will be explaining to my wife when this turns up in the mail once I order one. Fresh hold wheels on the market and nose cones,......on yay. The differences wil be interesting once someone receives one.

Does anyone know what the best tire insert to use with original Blitzer tires and wheels. I see AKA have lots of inserts but I simply can't work out which one would be the right one to purchase.

OK I know there are old threads about TGX tires and wheels but I am still looking for some tires for my TGX rims. Does anyone know if any other brands of tires fit or is there a suitable tire to cut down and reglue that might work? I wish Tamiya would actually rerelease a TGX and make plenty of tires so everyone who owns a TGX could run it knowing there was tire available. If memory serves correctly HPI super Nitro are slightly to big.

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate the sharing of your knowledge. Regards.

when I try to upload a photo why does it change the orientation. I am using IPad. I even took an image and edited to upside down and low and behold it actually kept it upside down. Very frustrating! Any suggestions moderators?

Lower spring retainer (cup) for stadium Blitzer and TA02 shocks
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in General discussions
They are 12mm inner and 15mm outer size. Common on Onroad springs I believe. I stumbled across a white and yellow one in my parts box which are the same measurement. I will try and load up a pic but site seems to playing up as I have tried in vain to load up some pics today of a charger with error after error. -
I have used these guys a couple of times , the latest for 4 scorcher body sets and their prices are the lowest I have come across, postage is fair, packaging very good and delivery very fast. The only thing I don't like is that their web site doesn't work that well on my IPad so I have to resort to the old laptop or desk top to navigate effortlessly....and that means moving a child often which is no funπ The best thing about the latest delivery was the the wife was out walking the dog when the parcel arrived so she is none the wiser.πππππ

I am in NZ and the Global Payment appears to me to be a complete rip off for me as a purchaser. I am fortunate that I also had a fellow TC member that I would get to receive items from time to time but have since moved to a re shipping service run by our postal system here in NZ which offers the service in USA, UK and China and for a small fee ($12NZ) they will receive and ship on plus postage of course. I felt guilty and it was going to end up being a regular occurrence. You get discounts for multiple parcels and they have commenced a consolidation service where they will combine packages. I just need to be very careful when I purchase things on EBAY to make sure I select the correct address. A lot of things in the US are shipped for free within the US so I know I am getting a much better deal using this service. We don't pay any tax on items up to $400NZ. They do,open items to check but their re packing has been excellent. I still get some stuff sent direct from sellers not using the global payment service but also do a check with my service to see what is cheaper especially if I know I have packages due at the same time at re shipping agent. Ebay - love em and hate em eh!

If you are going to run it I would suggest you do old frog diff mod. Nice to have the techno gold motor.

Lower spring retainer (cup) for stadium Blitzer and TA02 shocks
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in General discussions
OK lots of views but no comments. Does anyone have a team associated buggy with 12mm big bore shocks on it. The cups for these are part number 91310 and I am thinking they might work. I measured the tamiya part and the internal size of a spring is circa 12mm therefore a cup with an inner measurement of 12mm would work. Can anyone confirm for me please? thanks in advance. -
There has been one for sale down under for $1000NZ which has had no interest I believe. These are great trucks. I have NIB body for a restore one day.

I love the Monster Beetles but for driving experience I would go with the Blitzer. Rear tires are only a problem if run on Tarmac. Mine have lasted a long time on my Stadium Thunder which I only run on dirt and grass. My kids love the Stadium Thunder. Hard body vs lexan body also is an important factor when kids are driving as the monster beetle will end up on it's roof more than once or twice if run hard. If you go monster Beetle route definitely invest in gearbox fix with a screw to hold the gears together as per fellow members suggestions. http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=24674&sid=3142

Fellow members. What would be a normal delivery time for airmail from France to the UK.? I ask because I purchased some items from a France based Ebay seller that has pretty good feedback overall and has done circa 6000 trades with 30 negatives but the items have not turned up. I realise that Easter would cause some delays but it has been over 10 days aready. I made an error and purchased something else a few days after the first item so it will be interesting to see if that turns up also. At least I can claim back via PayPal. The seller has responded by email to my queries so no issue with communication to date. Has anyone else had time issues with items from France to UK?

Hi Neil Yep still wall to wall in the rumpus room. Zac and Aine (my 13 and 11 year olds) have been tearing up the back lawn and a large pile of dirt with my Stadium Thunder and Zac's fighter RX and Brat the last few days. Yes would be great to catch up for a meeting with the old boys again. Great to hear from youβΊοΈ

Greetings from sunny New Zealand this morning. 17 degrees and 89% humidity at 7.30am - a good day to get outside and run some cars. I have been looking out for the grey bumpers fit the Fighting Buggy for ages. I have a few original scorchers, super champs in various states of disrepair and no grey bumpers. I am not worried about using a re released bumper with an original body and JR-RC has just sourced some (50) so I have ordered some and I am a happy man. I must get a picture of my SRB stuff at some stage - well at least the stuff that I know where it is. A major resort of boxes is required. Apologies if this in the wrong section moderators.

I am sure I am not the first person to encounter the problem of losing the lower spring retainer on a shock after a day of running cars, especially with the kids driving(and mine). I am tired of having to buy an entire parts tree just for the plastic spring cup. I bet we all have heaps of partial parts trees missing the spring cup in our parts boxes. I see RPM make spring cups which you can purchase in lots of four very cheaply - would work out I could probably get 8 cups at least for the price of one Tamiya tree. Has anyone purchased any RPM spring cups that are the correct size? They say they fit RC10, associate, traxxas etc. I know I could just purchase some and see if they fit but given I am in New Zealand I have international shipping to pay. It's normally my blitzer chassis and TA02 truck which we one. Any other suggestions welcome.

thansk for the feedback. I am in NZ so not a lot of options down here. I do have a box of old Frewer bodies so will see if I have something that will fit.
