I picked up a tr15 chassis in a parts lot but it has no body. It is the buggy chassis as opposed to the truck. Can anyone suggest a body that would fit this as it goes really well and I might hang on to it as a runner.

What type of milliput are you using? Standard yellow grey? As I have a few projects that need some work with putty.
-
Looking good. Are you not going to strip the shell back to plastic to bring all the details out? The grey primer looks very thick. Good advice on the Drexel wire wheels.

I have a few(OK more than a few) Frewer bodies and wings tucked away(I think I sold Will a Metro body a few years back). I also have a McAllister Pontiac body. I have a couple of escort xr3 bodies and a Porsche 959 wide body, Coswort Saphire 1.10 and one other, Cosworth Sierra 1/12 and mardave/ministock, . I have a list of about 100 which I can email to people if they PM me. You will have to be patient as I dont get on here every day/week. Some of the bodies have decals but the majority dont. I actually need to hunt through a box of decals i have an match a few more of them up

Is it just me or has Jason stopped listing stuff. I did notice one item listed yesterday but everything else is now a month old. Can anyone shed any light on what is happening as he was one of the better sources of parts outside of the UK?

Thanks for that. Mine is slightly different not having as many buttons and mine is running on 40 MHz and is FM. Mine does not have brake trimmer or warm up switch. Great site the link that you provided. Cheers

Can anyone shed any light on this old transmitter. It has a swivel top, the battery pack holder unclips, it has a module also. I googled it with limited success. It still goes and came with a receiver which still works in a old onroad car (non Tamiya). Oh and the battery cover is missing. Anyone got a spare??? I am unable to upload pics here for some reason yet again so please link to my showroom here. Sorry for the hassle. http://www.tamiyaclu....asp?cid=118991

I need a front carrier for it. Can anyone help. Thanks for the link to the manual.

what is it? It arrived broken despite it meant to be in one piece. I was going to simply part it out as it ahd two sets of radio gear and guess what only one set goes. You win some you lose some. It came with some shocks also and not sure if they were meant to be on it and some has put what looks like Kyosho Gold shocks on. Any help and point to a manual would be appreciated. se this as i could not load pics here for some reason http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=118943

Can anyone shed any light on this small ESC. It also has an M on it like the M-tronics M. It only has forward. It actually works well and I have recently sold the truck that had it in it and have undertaken to find out what it is and if I can locate a set up sheet for it. It was in an Kyosho EP Spider so is probably 20 years old. Thanks in advance

Thanks for that. cheers

what is this off? It has been well used, and no window unfortunately. I might be able to fit this on a M chassis if I do the narrowing trick on the front I read somewhere here on TC. I also might simply flick this along as I have no affinity for datsun/nissans. Rear guard cracked but an easy fix. There is also a hole in front left guard (not shown) but also fixable. cheers

shoo goo and builder wall tape will definately work. I have repaired a number of badly damaged bodies using this stuff. Use it in a well ventilated area and try not to get it on your skin. good luck

Monster Beetle/Blackfoot - rear mount strengthening chassis
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
This is it tahnks for pointing out and of course to Mongoose1983 as I puchased a bout 20 of these for all the various ORV chassis's I had and then couldn't find the article. I agree that a aluminium top bracket will potentially cause a lot of problems to a body in a bad rollover. Tahnsk for all the replys -
Can anyone please point me to a tutorial or forum article where you take a Tamiya part which is threaded at each end and you use it at the base of the rear body mounts to strengthen the chassis to stop the chassis flexing in and hopefully preventing the cross member on the rear body mount from breaking?

Falcon Thorp wheel axles(suggest an alternative)
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I had a well worn boomerang wheel axle and an original thorp one and they are almost identicle. They fit togeher nicely with little slop between them. I just want to check against new parts also as I have 3 sets of universals and dogbones which dont have wheel axles. I have a couple of complete sets also apart from a set of wheel nuts so am hoping someone will let me know what the size/pitch of a thorp wheel nut is so I can complete. -
Falcon Thorp wheel axles(suggest an alternative)
kalsh replied to kalsh's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I did some measuring and reserch following the Fox discussion going on around thorp and I believe that the original Boomerang rear wheel axles will work which is great as I wont have to find Thorp sized wheel nuts. I will let you know once they arrive and I install. -
Fox Dogbone axles (Any cross reference Parts?)
kalsh replied to 76capri's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I have a Falcon set of universals, dogbones and axles but no wheel nuts. I would love to know the thread pitch/size also so I can use them one day. -
I picked up one of these second hand and in tha box was about 5 parts trees that use to have the front shock mount on it. There were two broken front mounts in the box so it appears to be a weak point on this chassis. It was interesting that it wasn't the shock mounting point which was broken but the arm link mounting point. I also opted for a GPM part to see what happens - I am awaiting delivery.

What other rims take the original top fore tires?
-
I have a few sets of thorp universals and dogbones for the Falcon but no drive axles. Does anyone have any spare or suggest an alternative drive axle to fit even if it is a tamiya one? It would be nice to use these and I might even decide to let some sets go once they are complete.

Does anyone know what the part number is for the nipple that sends pressure to the fuel tank - mine is missing. Thanks.
