  1. Yeah, I actually painted it today, will take pics when it dries properly, so tomorrow. Didn't use the stock colour or the stock stickers, but I used a set of stickers I had left over from another Hilux kit... colour is TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue over plain white surfacer.
  2. Built the Bruiser. Bruiser pics etc. Just the Chassis so far, thinking about a colour for the body... something very dark blue or green grey... Maybe use a military colour and make it shiny.
  3. yeah it's alloy. I put in a 15 tooth steel one.
  4. Just standard pitch, same as the F1 cars stock. 32P ? I just fit a 15 tooth on mine, with the stock motor it makes the speed a lot better.
  5. I think the OP said So, as a scale off road vehicle, you can't go past the CC-01 in any flavour. They look like and drive like the real thing, not just the body, but the chassis as well. As for having to spend money on the CC-01, sure, bearings, a locker for the front diff and that's about it. not that much really, not as much as the difference in price between an SCx10 and CC-01. I've got 7 CC-01, 1 SCX10 Honcho, 2 highlifts, a new bruiser, 2 CR-01, a wraith, summit, TXT, Clod, Jugg, and Mountaineer. The CC-01 are the best value for my money in scale looks.
  6. The F104 is a narrow chassis, so would suit your wish for a more modern look with the high wing. The amount of high detail bodies available are limited though. The 4wd F201 could be made to drive like a 4wd touring car. But the F103 and F104 are awesome cars to drive, they are so much more driveable. With a good set of tyres they are good fun. I personally don't know how anyone could like Schumacher. I never got into him. Then again, F1 died for me in 1994 on the 1st of May as I watched live on TV.
  7. I think I'll let this one go to fund another project. At my blog I'm located in Japan, shipping EMS will cost about $65 USD I'm looking for about $300US or 190 British pounds shipped to most countries. Paypal please. direct email contact: spiritsnypa @ gmail (remove spaces and add dot com) thanks for looking no takers for this? the price includes shipping to your door. There is a bodyset only on eBay for $325USD shipped. This sale is the whole car kit for $300 SHIPPED. or make me an offer.
  8. back to the shelf for it. I ran it a while when I first got it. I even managed to fit a Sport Tuned motor in there, by taking off the sticker on the motor.
  9. thanks! turns out the gold plated wheels I have are for the Buggy Champ wheel size...
  10. Just about finished my weekend project, a repaint and restore of my Super Champ. check my blog for more pics.
  11. Painted the 58513 Celica Turbo GRB body. and updated my blog
  12. good comment. the F103 or 104 are the best bet for F1 racing, they drive very well and are fun and easy to work on.
  13. The guys at my local free track, which is asphalt, outdoors and beside a river (windy and dusty) usually use Zen Racing 40 fronts and 25 rears. I was using only kit tyres, which in themselves were fun, but the difference is night and day. We threw a set of old 35's on the front and stock kit tyres on the rear to test and the front turned so hard the rear just kept spinning. I only borrowed the tyres for a little to see what they are like, so don't have pics, when I get the chance, I will buy some myself. I have some videos on my blog of the track, the surface is relatively smooth, tight packed asphalt. It also has a good racing line from the guys who spray wd40 on their tyres before lapping. If you run on asphalt, try out compound 40 front, 25 rear, but just remember, the surface and temperature of the track makes a difference. Enjoy!
  14. Thanks, the shell on these is beautiful, but very thin! The decals are quite difficult to apply.
  15. I built this recently, took it for a drive yesterday. Need to change the tyres and it will be a little rocket. 84266 Toyota TS020 take a look if you are interested in F1 or GT cars. I've started driving them a lot lately and I think they could be the purest form of RC racing. So quick with a standard motor and so much grip! I tried out a set of tyres for my F1 yesterday and was blown away by the performance difference. shore 40 on the front and 25 on the rear on our asphalt track makes it stick like a slot car!
  16. thanks! I saw a video that must have been taken the same way, but not with a gopro and so I decided to kit bash up this mount.
  17. I've been messing around with camera stuff today and made a mount that creates some really interesting video. If you are interested, take a look at the video I made today and a little info about the mount I put on my blog.
  18. It appears it will be sold through ZOZOTOWN here in Japan. My blog post on it.
  19. Don't say "oh you're wrong, it's Ta-me-yah." next time someone says "tam eye yah." just smile and say, "yeah I like ta-me-ya" too. Just don't say, "no, I like me some kai-yo-show! *Kyosho..." "my favourite street fighter was rye-you *Ryu"
  20. Built my TB-03 VDS chassis kit. What a nice chassis! Very blue. see lots of pics at my blog
  21. thanks futureworks! I'll have to go pick up my original body from storage and check the size difference. I'm pretty sure the lexan body is bigger.
  22. the windows don't need to be dark... it's lexan. you don't paint them...
