  1. Ranger front post is about an inch longer than the Sand Scorchers.
  2. Beetles didn't have reversing lights incorporated into these type of lights on the SS. Just indicators, stop and tail and a reflector.
  3. police were informed as soon as i found out about the theft but as is the norm in this country they just give you a crime reference number and that enables you to claim on your insurance. The police in this country are only bothered about catching motorists they dont even come to your house to look.
  4. Is this what you're after. these are mini wheels with proline tyres for the 1/18 scale buggies. Edit: just had a quick look for a link to the tyres, looks like they're not made anymore
  5. Hi All, I've been inactive for a while now due to family stuff and moving house. All my rc stuff is packed away in the garage. Unftunately last Friday my garage was broken into and several things were stolen, amongst these things was my fully restored with period radio gear Fast Attack Vehicle. Other things that were taken was my original RC10 box full of spares, thankfully my RC10 was in another box that was not taken. I found the box thrown in a hedge on the playing field around the corner from my house, empty. Also a box of Xray T1 spares and a HPI RS4 were taken along with my Specialized Stumpjumper Mountain Bike and Makita cordless drill. Here are some pics of the FAV incase anyone comes across it.
  6. The front bumper was different on the original, it didn't have as large out-riggers as the standard bumper on the re re. Was gutted when i broke mine. broken bumper thread
  7. Hope you get well soon FBS. Probably the scariest thing that happened to me was when i was about 15 and was electrocuted with a faulty soldering iron, i was trying to feel if it was warming up by placing my hand over it but inadvertantly touched it, it was live and my fingers instantly clenched around it, i can still remember the buzzing through my whole body for what seemed like an eternity as i frantically shook it off, still got the scars on my fingers now 25 years later.
  8. Wow!! i can't believe it, only this week i put some fresh batteries in my Bigtrak (which i've had since i was ten. I'm 39 now) and it worked perfectly. They're fantastic. I even have the original box and polystyrene packing.
  9. The battery cover from a WO will not fit a FAV because the FAV chassis doesn't have the screw mount for the body post and clip. I'd just convert the suspension to WO spec and paint the FAV up in buggy colours instead, they look great done this way.
  10. Looks pretty good to me. Proper nose, clear glass, can't tell about the arches but looks pretty close.
  11. Very nostalgic, my memorable kits were the 1977 oil rig and tanker, 1978 Fire Station with the new minifigs, 1978 technic tractor, 1980 technic car chassis, plus loads of other smaller kits. I bought the Ultimate collectors series X-Wing fighter about 7 years ago and still every time i go in any toy shop i make sure to look at new Lego kits, i keep picking up the latest Bulldozer every time i go to tescos because it looks so cool.
  12. i don't think the Brat was a coffee lid car either, although the frog with the same chassis was. So maybe the coffe lid cars are the first of each chassis type to be re released. who knows??
  13. Looking at Ferris' profile he hasn't been on the forums since Feb 2007
  14. I've used this mod on my wild one gearbox also, but instead of a 2.5mm screw I used a 3mm screw because I already had the taps and a box full of screws. Works a treat.
  15. yeah, spotted it also when i was flicking through yesterdays papers at work. Those back tyres don't look like originals.
  16. They are the ariel mounting points for the unreleased Group C Frog
  17. I have one for sale http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp...4348&id=130
  18. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...7&hl=attack post #5 I've been waiting for you to get in touch, surely 1 is better than none.
  19. Yes, it's a MCD Baja 1000, but seeing as its identicle to a Racerunner in the photo then Wrecked is the correct guesser.
  20. I'm selling my TV storage unit because we're moving house and no longer have a need for it anymore. It is from the Ikea besta range and is still in production so can be added to or rearranged. It cost me well over £500 about 18months ago. The top display cabinets have lights and easily accomadate Tamiya models I'm looking for something in the region of £175 for it and you will have to come and collect it from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. TV and cat not included!!
