  1. Thanks for all the info. I will pass on the Jugg1 axles as im wanting the truck to have lots of torque and pulling power, so it sounds as though the axles won't be too keen on playing their part!! Might havr to sell one of my Clods to fund a new purchase...
  2. Legends, cheers :-) So am i best off getting Jugg 2 axles? Is there any way to upgrade Jugg 1 axles, or were the axle casings changed too?
  3. I'm looking to make an offroad truck and wanting to use Jugg axles, as i have a transfer case and a motor with a reduction unit sat here. I'm wanting to it to have lots of torque. I have seen a couple of Jugg 1 axles for sale, were the axles themselves a problem or just the gearbox? Also, will Clodbuster hubs/knuckles fit the Jugg axles? Thanks, Joe
  4. I have a couple of complete sets on ebay... Just search for Clodbuster body mounts and it should be there :-)
  5. Thanks mate, give me your number and i'll ring you constantly urging you to buy it ;-) I'm needing them pretty urgently, like before beginning of September!
  6. I am after a 70tooth spur for my scorcher, as i only have the small pinion. Does anyone have a 70T gear they want to swap for my 65T gear that is new and original? Id rather have the bottom end grunt than the speed factor of the bigger pinion! Im in UK. Thanks, Joe
  7. Hi all, i'm desperately after some decals for my Clod. I have the stripes painted on and have just finished lacquering the body, and it's sod's law that Tamiya have stopped all repro decals being sold. Thanks for that.... The only decals i need really are the 2 door logos. The lettering i will probably get made locally in Vinyl as i want ti to be in a box art style, just slightly different as the body isn't standard. Any help greatly appreciated. I can't spend £50 on NIP decals!!
  8. I have a complete rear axle with motor and pinion fitted. Have a full set of new chrome wheels too but not sure on condition as they have been stored without a bag. Let me know if you are interested :-)
  9. Not an expert but i reckon it should. I have an assortment of receivers and one transmitter works with them all. Even ones made by different manufacturers.
  10. Thanks, gota be better than P4D.co.uk and DHL taking 2 weeks to pick up a parcel booked for a 48hr service!!!
  11. I think bearings would be best upgrade, and then maybe proper 4-link suspension arms instead of the crappy plastic things!! Would be nice to see a Crewcab Clod released too :-) But not til i've finished mine in a few weeks!!
  12. The 'Viagra' or whatever its called looks awful! If they want to do something like that, why not put it on a cheaper chassis? Even Nikko make cars better looking than that. It's a shame they can't just stick to how they started out, by making good cars that look realistic. Would it have been so hard to make a nice lexan shell with abs front and rear detailing (like the Audi) and some decent wheels/tires? Maybe a Nissan Kingcab? Surely they know the Kingcab is a sought-after model with great looks. Plus it would go nicely with the re-re Baja truck. Poor, Tamiya, just poor.
  13. Would be nice to see a slightly modded shell, maybe of the older truck with a different grille and squarer fenders. Would love to see a totally new 'old' shell though, maybe a Chevy C30 or a 1947 era Chevy. Maybe the standard body on a Juggernaut chassis with Clod tires?
  14. Stupidly awesome :-) Love it! Any more progress?
  15. Id think a sled would be easy enough to make. A simple 'trailer' with a chain drive from the trailer axle to a slider mechanism with a weighted box on. Simple in my head anyway! But at moment its all ideas. If there was enough interest then it could become reality, but the real hurdle is getting the interest from here to become interest in person. Its too easy to show interest on here!
  16. Any other people interested? Could also have other events suited for these trucks, like sled pulling and mud bogging.
  17. I guess it could be open to all types of 2.2-wheeled trucks, but keep them in their own classes. And again, keep them all pretty much stock to keep it closer and fair. Minor mods acceptable like different shocks etc. But nothing to enhance the speed. I guess first row would have around 5 cars, second row about 8? All just an idea for now, the more interest there is, the more plans will form.
  18. Just seeing if there is any interest in Clod racing at meetings in UK? Im thinking stock Clods, stock 540 motors, any ABS body, keep everything simple so that it depends more on driver skill than whoever has the fastest motors etc. Side-by-side as per the old school 1:1 events in the USA. Truck starts behind a small earth 'ramp' (like in the old indoor stadiums in 80's/90's), then a line of 'cars' (lexan shells with windows cut out to soften landings), and then another line of cars after. All cars would be secured to a wooden base so they dont get kicked all over the place. I'm thinking ONLY ABS shells as that will mean people are more focused on 'driving' their trucks instead of just flooring it and hoping for the best, not caring whether they roll because their lexan shell will take it... Maybe i'm just old fashioned... But id rather keep everything 'old school' ! Any interest or ideas? Joe
  19. Many thanks for the replies,i found it today luckily. Turned up inbetween the paint cans on a totally different shelf! Thanks for taking the time to look anyway :-)
  20. Im just after one hub adapter and the brass hex that fits inside. I dropped one of mine and i cant find the thing! UK only please. Thanks, Joe
  21. Hi all, i'm after a bare Clod body if anyone has one? Don't need the chrome or windows, and don't need the grille or tailgate. Any condition. Thanks, Joe UK only, thanks.
  22. Would have been good to see it on an ORV chassis, trailing arm rear end, tamtech vw front end, and an engine cage with SS exhaust? They could have used buggy champ wheels, so at least we have opportunity to make it look half decent! Make the body in the usual ABS plastic and then we can paint/mod it. Hey ho, i wont be buying it anyway unless it was £20...
