Finished decaling the TF body.... still need to do the wing (cold front came in so not sure I want to paint in 40degree weather

Just got this back in the mail by being refinished by my buddy, HongKongFuey aka @Dojo Dave looks amazing, there are a couple of rub spots in the paint from shipping that now look glossy.... any way to undo that without having to repaint as he did such a good job on it.

Tbh I agree as well about the shocks never had any issue with them either but am a sucker for Tamiya shocks, it’s usually the short Tamiya cvas that give me leaking problems....

Spite spike tires

Thanks, wish I had done that... acquired all my parts(body and decals) before rere and realized they’re identical... wish ida waited. Only thing is you better hope your spite spike tires are ok as they are not available in rere or rerere.... Also wanted original high caps but they’re stupid expensive so settled on a new set of dyna storm shocks... will not own the rere hi caps, not in my original.

Saw this and instantly thought of the TL01 (like something Tamiya coulda/shoulda done for a 2WD next gen ........ even though I love the MF01X)... cool to see how they worked the design and incorporate ways to use different battery types... wonder if its as durable as the TL01 itself.

Now that my original is done (wish I had waited on some parts as I’ve seen the rere’s are identical in every way) I’m thinking of buying a rere and already have a paint scheme in mind....

I have a question... why buy a vintage TF to put new era mods and/or bash around? Why not just buy a new rere? I’m one of those weirdos who buys vintage to display vintage and keep them era correct.... if I want to bash one around I’d buy a new one and be done with it (especially if it’s an actual vintage piece... the cost of replacing all the plastics will run you way more than a rere)...

Also, you can simply buy the body mounts for the wheeliemog and it should fit without issues. Plus the wheel base on the gf01 is shorter than the lunchbox
