I've got a subscription because I'm into their style of cars, and that feature on the full-size SS was just stunning. Jonny Smith (the guy who wrote the article) really knows his cars, real and RC.
It has been mentioned here that Jonny Smith was worn a Tamiya inspired T-shirt on Fifth Gear (a TV show he presents bits on, for those who don't know).

The r clips and wheel nuts should be easily available at your local hobby shop.
Upgraded motor mounts are easily available online.
I think Cosworth wheels are a weird size, not the usual 1.9inch, so tyre choice might be limited.

I wanna apologise to you guys for not going again: I was stupid enough to think I could stay up all night up watch the Bathurst 1000 and wake up early enough to get there.
I checked my cars earlier: only 1 works and a kingpin fell out. Good thing that didn't happen at the bash: I'd never have found it

I still don't know if i have anything i can run tomorrow. Prepared, aren't I?
Also, I dunno if i wanna be the nutter who walked there again.

AAAHHH: I'd better get something working.
On a different note: I didn't know the forum was censored.

Vauxhall have specially made some Vectra's for the VXR stand at BTCC events. The bodyshells are thicker than a normal Tamiya shell to withstand crashes better. They are, however, very pricey. A bodyshell will cost you 69.95 and the RTR version (XB Pro TT-01) will set you back another 100!! Here's a pic I took of the car:

Matt
I was SOOO tempted to buy one of the shells on sunday at Thruxton, but I couldn't justify paying 70 for it.
-
Edit: Sorry chaps, once again I won't be there.
-
I wanna go, but I don't fancy walking from Reading train station. Again.
Edit: I have to work Sunday too

My Taisan is a real money pit.
I had to buy new parts trees to replace missing and damaged gearbox parts (they ended up costing more than the car).
It needs original wheels, tyres, the shell painted and decaled, and a new steering servo.

I'm lucky enough to have one of the limited release 6R4's, and I'd like to say "Put me down for a RS200 too".
-
I use old blank VHS tapes, as I've got loads of them.

This thread has made me look for cheap TTG's: not good for the wallet.

I was a big nerd when I saw that the other day on Discovery.
I liked Adam's LED grille, but I don't know what shell I should do it on.
-
Glad it wasnt just me then! lol
Same here.
NIce looking site, too.

Tamiya Racing Pit Team *SOLD*

You could 4-link the suspension, then fit shorter dampers & coil springs.

Can anyone tell me whether modelsport still offer discounts for TC subscribers?
I've looked around and can only find old threads here.
-
Does it fit direct on the Hotshot or is any modding of the chassis required?
Well, my (half finished) Hotshot fits inside the shell just fine, but I've no idea how to mount it.
EDIT: Are we gonna wait for a batch of RS200's now *fingers crossed*?

Today I was woken up by the postie, with my Metro 6R4 shell.
I then had to rush out to call my mum, as we had no electricity.
My mother and I went to get some electricity.
I fell asleep.
Once I woke up, I went for a walk around the shops, until I ended up in the library & posting here.

YAY!!
Mine arrived this morning!
Looks great and the masks are good too.
Thanks!
Now all i need to do is build a chassis for it.
-
I'd like to say that I'd like the masks with mine.
If paypal's OK, I'll send it tomorrow.

I have a fairly standard TLT, and I've been looking for a few mods (whilst keeping it a mini monster truck).
Whilst looking around, I've spotted some Ansmann Racing 95mm dampers, which I wondered if anyone's used.
So, has anyone used 95mm Ansmann dampers? Are they any good? What oil would you reccomend?
Thanks in advance.

I was wondering what the progress was the other day.
I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed too.

I think someone (ABC Hobby?) did a wagon version of the Legacy, not sure what kind of year it's meant to be though.
