Main page login not working for me on anything!
TWINSET replied to njmlondon's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
PM me your login email chap, I'll ask Chris to take a look Not meaning to sound patronising, but you are trying to login using email/password aren't you? Forum is username/password and that catches a lot of members out, even the seasoned ones -

Has anyone painted with this color?
TWINSET replied to MICHAELs TopForce17's topic in General discussions
The 'official' colour for Street Rover is Candy Lime Green http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/58522street_rover/index.htm Skottoman mentions "Tamiya Aluminum green" here; https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=106795 Another one here; http://driftmission.com/january-body-of-the-month-from-hyperdrift/ -
@Re-Bugged This any good? https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=129718 There's also a bit on the subject here; https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/79832-84431-110-rc-porsche-934-jägermeister-ta02-sw-limited-edition-40-years/& @Mark_C The TA02SW chassis wheelbase doesn't match the bodyshell's wheelbase so, unless Tamiya change the chassis or the shell, the problem will remain.

I'm not having any problems, Windows 10 with Firefox. In a lot of cases like this, clearing out cookies etc sorts the issue. -
Weight loss, health improvement stories?
TWINSET replied to Juggular's topic in Anything not RC related goes here
40 mins from start to eat is quick, I find it a great way to wind down after work and the drive home - Some junk TV on the tablet and a load of sharp knives; just what I need. I often spend 45 mins to an hour with prep and cooking - my wife is a awesome cook but she likes to wind-down in the greenhouse or just vegging, so the situation suits me fine. I've found I'm a lot less picky now I'm cooking stuff (as opposed to opening the pack and popping the contents in the oven) - If a recipe calls for courgette, leeks, asparagus or even grated pickled carrot I just go with it now 2 years ago I wouldn't have had fish if it wasn't wrapped in batter, now I'm as happy with smoked mackerel, cajun salmon or prawn and squid stew as I am with a lump of steak (although there's more steak in the freezer than fish, just in case). I used to regard food as fuel - just eat when I needed to and whatever I fancied without any real pattern. If I didn't feel like breakfast or lunch I wouldn't have them. Now I always have breakfast, still don't have lunch very often but always have a decent meal of an evening. I still have a drink whenever I fancy it, although have had to lay off the JD as I was knocking it back like a pint. If you have a Waitrose close by, take a look at their free recipe cards - the recipes are usually pretty healthy and dead easy to prepare This was one of theirs we had last night; Sauteed pork with leeks and Beans with steamed veg - it's got a load of Dijon mustard in it to give you a good kick in the throat - takes 20-40 minutes, depending on knife skill -

@nowinaminute - YouTube's great for learning cooking techniques, whether it's butterflying prawns or getting the membrane off a monkfish fillet. I do the majority of our cooking now and love it. Tonight we got monkfish curry, tomorrow night haddock and cod kedgeree, Sunday night BBQ pulled pork with steamed leeks and broccoli. If you can't get fresh veg often enough, go for frozen over tinned, we always got broad beans, peas and sweetcorn in, just in case - With frozen you don't have to use it all up once it's opened Also, check out www.bbcgoodfood.com for recipes, they have a handy filter for calorie limits - Search for 'chicken' for instance and you'll see a bunch of filters down the left Most of the low-cal dishes don't have too many ingredients, so you can start simple - Stir-fries and curries are dead easy and once you bought the spices, they'll keep you going for months This one's dead easy; https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1167651/chicken-and-chorizo-jambalaya This https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2469648/chicken-with-mushrooms goes great with https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1664/horseradish-mash Another minimum effort job (tinned pinto beans is probably the only tinned food I buy now) https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/12757/cajun-chicken-and-chunky-bean-salsa They're all under 600 cals per serving, but worth trying - when I started 5:2 goodfood.com was a great resource I also find planning meals as far in advance as you can helps as you're not then forced into a takeaway or 'something and chips' - I'll usually shop Sun-Wed then Thu-Sat - 4 days is ok for most fresh veg, although onions get a bit lively after that -
Give it a few months and they'll be as rare and collectible as Holiday Buggy clones were a few years back, especially once the spares dry up Buy a few now, make a mint later parting them out

@Mad Ax - check out pinchofnom.com for even more recipes - they're 'SW friendly' so based around syns and SW cooking practices With all 'diets' (I use the term to refer to alternative eating habits to what was previously 'the norm' for the individual) they need to be sustainable and relatively easy to obtain/manage - I tried the 5:2 and did it for 18 months but found my weight gradually creeping up as I just went mental on the 5 days I could eat If you just need to lose some holiday build up, pretty much any diet will do, even cinnamon and honey but, if you been a similar weight for years then a lifestyle change is what's needed - whether that's exercise, eating differently or a bit of both, it needs to be something you can do 'for life' otherwise you'll just end up back where you were pre-diet. With SW, we (the wife lost almost 5 stone as well) ditched using olive oil as a habit, don't eat much bread now, switched to light mayo (not lighter than light though!!!) and potatoes, pasta or rice aren't automatically part of any meal, only where they're needed - Paella, risotto, steak and chips f'rinstance. After that, it's pretty much moderation and stopping when you hit the daily allowances - that's the willpower bit, and my wife's definitely nailed that better than I have Just looking back, I lost the first 5 stone within 6 months at SW, and have been around 5 1/2- 5 3/4 down on starting weight for about 18 months now - I still go to meetings as I find being 'accountable' keeps me focused -

I shifted 6 stone with Slimming World - easiest 'diet' I've tried and it's maintainable once the desired loss has been achieved. Weight still bounces around whenever I go past a bag of Haribo (or several) but it's easy to get back on track, Very straightforward plan, many foods don't carry penalties so it's easy to manage -
The tank in the link isn't a MKIII Centurion as per the description although Tamiya have made one; https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TAMIYA-RC-BRITISH-BATTLE-TANK-CENTURION-Mk-III-w-CONTROL-UNIT-56604-EMS-New-/332496675817 Looks like the text and pics have been mixed up;

Dunno - also wondering if the short link at the front of the cantilever is to allow some 'droop' like a stroke extension link ? -

Proper pics from GMade's FB page. It's called 'BOM' which I assume translates as Tiger (rear panel sticker) Contra-rotating driveshafts are a cool feature
