how to delete showroom photo?
TWINSET replied to JeffSpicoli's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
You can't delete photos, only replace them. The other option is delete the whole showroom entry and start over. -
That's strange - the last chargeable parcel I received had the pink sticker but also a self-adhesive 'receipt' stuck to the box with a breakdown of what the charges were - bit smaller than a CD inlay. Did they not explain the charges in the 'you gotta pay' letter? Ultimately, you only need to supply HMRC with proof of what you paid out, as that's what they'll base the refund on, so MIP's order confirmation, the Paypal transaction or a credit card bill would do.

You have to pay VAT on the total price (20%) once it goes over £18 (IIRC) Duty is the one you might not have to pay although that's usually 2-3% on RC stuff Then there's the clearing fee. If you paid £55.29 in fees, part of that will be the clearing fee (£8 or £13) which leaves around £47 in VAT and duty That'd make you parcel value around £235 working it back. If it wasn't £235 then RM or PF have messed up - When this has happened to me in the past, it's usually because they've charged me for UK pounds value of goods instead of US dollars. Getting a refund is easy enough but does take a few weeks The label on the parcel should've had a full breakdown of charges

Just in case you missed it on the homepage; May 2018 Tamiyaclub welcomes Tamico. New Competition! Tamiyaclub.com is very pleased to announce another sponsor to the site, Tamico.de/Home The people behind Tamico have actually been members on the site since 2002 but I will leave them to introduce themselves in their own section of our forums, in the very near future. To kick off this new relationship they have very kindly given us a brand new Tamiya 58654 Lancia 037 Rally TA-02S kit to give away. Details to be announced this weekend. Cheers Chris For those who don't already, check out https://tamico.de/ at least once a week as they have a weekly special on their homepage, this week it's the Tamiya Raikiri GT (TT-02)

A generic SN-48B crimp tool will do battery connectors - Search eBay or Amazon for 'em, you don't need to spend loads, $20 ish should cover it SN-28B does the smaller crimps like servo and receiver crimps Not sure about bullet connectors though, something like this might be worth a try; https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Tools-11477-Ratcheting-Terminal/dp/B0069TRKJ0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1525813910&sr=8-3&keywords=crimp+tool

You can attach pics to posts (there's a 50mb allowance) but no gallery

Until recently, the default avatar was this; Then the letters were an option, but some members didn't like those either. I've put the letters back now, as you were

What would your attention prefer? I'm colour-blind so tend to veer toward high contrast rather than subtle

The 'base' tshirt comes from Zazzle (scroll up) That blue one is a custom job judging by "So they have an editor so you can tweak the t-shirt design. So I took the designs on there and made this "

Yeah, hopefully it's just something simple. I had a play with a non-subscriber account we have for testing stuff (no admin rights etc.) last night and the reset password thing worked ok on that. I was then able to login and reset the password myself and that worked ok too, so the system is working fine

RC Atmosphere
TWINSET replied to Shaggy39's topic in Off-Site sales plugs, tips & gossip - Including eBay, Gumtree etc.
I'd give it a miss - there's nothing current for sale on there and only high dollar Tamiya - no Frog, Hornet etc. The Axial list is missing the SCX10 II, Grave Digger, Wraith Traxxas is missing the TRX-4, Slash RC4WD missing the Trailfinder (1 and 2) Searching for reviews on 'em, I can't find anything good and not very much bad either - unusual for a site with seemingly great prices. If you check their RSS feeds, nothing's been added since 2015 http://rcatmosphere.com/pages.php?pageid=1 -
1986 mint in box Monster Beetle 1/10 value?
TWINSET replied to blitz87's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
A white body version sold on eBay recently for 356 Euro Another for 449 Euro And a red body version sold for 'best offer' under £550 Now the re-release it around, the condition of the box and internal boxes/blisters might affect the value -

The main site and forum passwords are not linked - you can have them the same but you have to change both manually. Login is different too; forum=username/password mainsite =email address/password Subscription went thru ok, you have a subscriber 'ribbon' on your main page now (see right hand side); If you hover your mouse pointer over your username on the right of the screen (on a Windows PC at least) you'll see some new options in a drop down menu which'll allow you to add showroom entries, trades etc;

I don't think this is sorted yet, I let Chris know about it and it's on the 'to do' list - It affects several models. FYI: I've turned off the @TWINSET thing on my account, too many people were using it when it wasn't necessary - if something needs my specific attention, please PM me directly or use the 'contact' link on the main site For main site issues though, the 'contact' link is best.

To subscribe, you need to be logged in on the main site, tamiyaclub.com - it can't be done through the forum side of the site. Once you're logged in you'll see a link; You'll need a paypal acount to subscribe with and you must have a card registered to the account even if you have sufficient funds in your account - it's something to do with the repeat subscription system within Paypal even though TC doesn't used auto-repeating subs.
