That Mini is funky, I saw a 1:1 like that at a Mini birthday bash, got some pix somewhere....

I bought (and sold) one for £100 with nib decals and VGC undamaged body. On a lot of auctions, body damage seems to be snapped roof pillars - this seems very common. I've asked a couple of sellers to confirm the pillars aren't snapped and never had a reply....

I needed some body and battery posts made for my SC, so measured up what I had and made autocad drawings of them. The machine shop I used had no trouble making from these drawings, but bear in mind, one drawing is in inches, and the other in millimeters - I dunno why, just how I felt at the time! http://www.andy.pentangle.co.uk/superchamp.dwg http://www.andy.pentangle.co.uk/superchamp2.dwg You can't view them online, just download them. If there's any probs, drop me a mail and I'll email them.

Hi John I had some plastic copies made cos someone wanted the alu one, I can send you one if you mail me your address. They're made of black plastic, so the grub screw at the bottom doesn't stand overtightening but they're good for a shelf queen. Also, the nub at the top has a thru hole instead of a groove (looks a little stronger)

re the Super Seven, you could saw the roof off a holiday buggy - wouldn't look that much different (if you squint, thru fog)[]

Hi Jakes Will has sorted me with some rears, so it's front RIMS I'm after now. I definitely have a front set of RR front rims for trade, lemme do a stock take tonite and I'll see how I'm off for scorcher wheels.
-
I have either a set of scorcher wheels or a set of Rough Rider wheels, both brand new, scorchers in bag, RR from NIB parts - will swap for Ford Ranger wheels (new) Anyone interested?

Everything imported has a commodity code, which dictates what percentage of import duty you pay. You add this percentage to the cost of the goods (in pounds) then add V.A.T. to that figure. Shipping charges are also subject to V.A.T. if the seller includes them in the value of the goods; £100 car + £30 shipping = £130 taxable product So if you ask the seller not to include shipping charges on value, you save a couple of quid. Any shipping company (TNT, DHL etc.)can give the Customs and Excise phone number to find out the commodity code. I got a car from canada, total, including shipping, was £141, import duty and V.A.T. came to £29.56

If I even mention 'toy cars' at the wedding, it'll be the quickest divorce ever! -
Aaaaaaaagh - About a month ago I swapped a scorcher nosecone for a MB one cos I got fed up with the 2 holes staring at me![] Congrats rcgrabbag, it's about time someone done this - I can feel ebay shuddering[]

To save cutting, can it be spiralled round the tube, or does this affect performance also?

I got a set of each, still on frames and 1 car, so 1 set is spare. Would swap for some Mini Ally wheels...

Contact me if you have any questions or special arrangement regarding this auction. Is this the technical term for 'Gimme a ring and buy it now'? -
To be honest, a lot of the posts are pointing out expensive/laughable auctions - It's very rare for a post to contain anything 'desirable' especially if it's been spelt wrong/badly described - the people that took the time to find them aren't gonna blab if they want it for themselves. - Look at the amount of NIB scorcher front wheel sets that have gone lately - I don't think anyone highlited them. Anyone could have found that diff, but I for one never look for a scorcher diff, and don't really need one, but it's interesting to watch!

Jeez, I just had a clearout, I got nothing left! A month ago, I had a Clod, a Holiday Buggy, Super Champ, Ford Ranger, a NIB Blitzer and a load of spares. Could people please stop buying stuff from me - I only advertised it to appease the fiance[] Could we have another category; 'No, I'm not selling it - you have my wallet, what more do you want'[] -
Cheers Steve The guy I got the chassis off suggested them, just haven't gotten round to it yet - just fired up the other one and can't stop playing/crashing it[]
-
Hey Willy Cheers muchly for the info. The UK Kyosho importer actually still has spares for it, so they're sending me a list.

Don't mean to sound condascending, but did you take the spacer off the motor after fitting the gear?? A mate of mine built one up with the spacer in place and had a badword of a job ('til he removed it)
